This position will report to Manager, Safety & Security of Gemcon Group. The “Assistant Manager, Safety & Security” position requires to organize and oversee security operations of different work units and premises. The incumbent will maintain security standards while commanding the security personnel. He has to demonstrate excellent surveillance and emergency response skills. The candidates need to have a strong commitment to security rules and knowledge of all hazards and threats. Also, needs to create and preserve an environment where employees, visitors and property are safe and well-protected.

Assistant Manager, Safety & Security, Gemcon Group

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist to monitor and control all Gemcon Group’s offices security situation and determine the risk rating through risk assessments related to safety & security of all offices and establishments.
- Coordinate the site administration to implement security policies, regulations, rules, and norms and make sure that the implementation of security protocols.
- Regular visit of establishment of assigned areas as per weekly plan and also monitor other officials visit.
- Functionally lead and manage the security appointed focal point at the Gemcon Groups’ official programs and any corporate events.
- Develop effective contingency and response plans to mitigate the impact of any critical security incident of Gemcon Group.
- Ensure the operational priorities such as fire safety, avoid theft, risk mitigation in all business concern of Gemcon Group.
- Assist in analyzing and evaluating security operations to identify risks or opportunities for improvement through audit, review, or assessment.
- Develop or manage investigation programs, including collection and preservation of video and notes of surveillance processes or investigative interviews.
- Investigate incidents and resolve issues, prepare reports for management on security status.
- Manage staffing activities, on time recruitment and deployment of security guards, background investigation, assign work, evaluate performance and ensure discipline of the department.
- Ensure training to all departmental staffs and provide security briefings periodically.
- Develop appropriate policies, plans, protocols and guidelines for the security management of Gemcon Group.
- Conduct the fire safety drill periodically.
- Prepare various report for the safety & security department.
- Prepare annual budget of safety & security department.
- Prepare annual training calendar of safety & security department.
Experience: At least 4-6 years relevant experience in Safety & Security department in a reputed organization.
Educational Requirement: Minimum Business Graduate from a reputed university. Additional education/professional certification on security administration or similar field will get preference.

- Must need to have investigation report or any kind of relevant report writing skills.
- Excellent writing skills both in English & Bangla.
