Family Planning Association of Bangladesh (FPAB) is the oldest and largest family planning non-government organization in Bangladesh. Founded in 1953, it pioneered the family planning movement in the country. FPAB aims to improve the quality of life of individuals by campaigning for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) through advocacy and services, especially for poor and vulnerable people.

Family Planning Association of Bangladesh (FPAB) is seeking applications for the following positions:

Position: Director/Deputy Director (Program)

Major Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the Senior Management Team, contribute to the building of FPAB into an outstanding service delivery institution
  • Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, carry the overall responsibility for the Program Department of FPAB
  • Chart out programme activities and their budgetary requirements
  • Envision, plan and provide technical assistance, and guide systems and processes for effective deployment of programmes in the following areas:
    • Access to quality sexual and reproductive health care (including family planning services)
    • Safe abortion services
    • HIV & AIDS related services
    • Working with adolescents and youths
  • Coordinate, monitor and review the implementation of programmes in terms of
    •  Quality
    • Reach
    • Cost
    • Performance (impact)
    • Deployment and utilization of resources
    • Deployment and stabilization of systems and processes
    • Delivery of programmes/services
  • Articulate and institutionalize standards for clinical service delivery and quality of care, and ensure their implementation at all service delivery points of FPAB including quality of medical equipment, clinical supplies, medicines and contraceptives to be procured
  • Develop/update training manuals, and organize clinical and counseling training on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and ensure that service providers meet national standards
  • Develop commercially viable high-quality training packages on SRH for service providers and other international/national/government organizations
  • Develop innovative ideas or intervention models and research-oriented initiatives for enhancing the delivery of medical/clinical services
  • Provide the Executive Director with data/information on relevant approaches/issues/options
  • Establish and maintain liaison with relevant professional governmental and non-governmental bodies and stakeholders, and represent the organization in various external forums
  • Uphold the values, ethics and culture of the organization

Management Arrangements: The Director Program will work under the direct supervision and general guidance of the Executive Director.

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • PhD with at least 10/8 years (3 Years in a relevant field) experiences or Post-Graduate degree in public health/population studies/management/social science/doctor in medicine with at least 12/8 years (3 Years in a relevant field) experiences, MBBS degree is preferable.
  • Experience in successfully planning, designing, implementing, managing and coordinating projects/programmes/activities in SRHR field

Age: 40 years to 50 years

Salary: Negotiable
 
Other Benefits: 2 (two) festival bonuses each year (each equal to 50% of monthly salary)
