Description

Technical sales managers require more technical skills and knowledge to succeed than the average sales manager. They must be experts on whatever electronic product or technical service they sell and be tech-savvy to conduct product demonstrations. In addition to technical knowledge, technical sales managers must possess leadership qualities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Master technical features of products and services being sold
  • Use client relationship management software to track and analyze sales productivity
  • Conduct product demonstrations using public speaking and sales skills
  • Research customers’ needs and resolves problems
  • Visit customers and potential customers to develop relationships, follow up on leads, set grower trials, close sales opportunities and provide technical information
  • Meet established sales budget (revenue, profit, expense) goals
  • Achieve key metrics (customer visits per weeks, prospect visits per week, trials conducted).
  • Give technical support in person, by email and phone
  • Deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional manner
  • Make product recommendations and presentation to clients, distributors, and industry organizations in order to educate and inform.
  • Input customer activities, competitive intelligence and industry information daily, using CRM system.
  •  Follow-up in a timely manner to voicemail and email requests from management, peers and other internal and external customers
  • Manage major accounts; establishes long-term, ongoing relationships with multiple people in a customer’s organization.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams as well as with sales peers regarding competition, pricing and marketing opportunities.

Educational Requirements

  • B.Sc. in EEE/ETE/CSE/ BBA/MBA or equivalent from a reputed university.

Experience Requirements

  • Manager - 5 to 10 year(s)

Additional Requirements

  • Age at most 35 years
  • Both males and females are encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience of successfully managing sales teams ideally from a similar industry.
  • Professional sales training would be a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a business.
