RMNCAH Officer

A. Objectives of the programme:
To provide technical assistance to Health Sector, Sexual & Reproductive Working Group, and other relevant partners for strengthening capacity for improving access to quality RMNACH services and ways to overcome barriers for advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health rights of the women in the Rohingya camps.
B. Summary of Assigned Duties:
Under the overall guidance of the Head of Sub-office (HoSO), WSO-CXB and the direct supervision of Public Health Officer, the incumbent will lead the Reproductive, Maternal, Adolescent, Neonatal & Child Health portfolio under the Health Operations and Technical Expertise in the Rohingya camps in close coordination with Health Sector, Sexual & Reproductive Working Group, and other relevant partners.
- Provide technical advice and support to health service providers in the health facilities in the Rohingya camps and the host population on sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health;
- Assist in improving access to SRH services by facilitating capacity building initiatives and mapping trainings available in Cox’s Bazar with relevant subject experts;
- Engage with Cox’s Bazar Medical College to enhance the technical capacity of skills lab and facilitate partners to utilize the facility through appropriate capacity building initiatives;
- Facilitate in coordinating and representing with latest technical updates/guidance in the Health Sector, Sexual & Reproductive Working Group and relevant technical committees;
- Engage in the facility-based review of the maternal deaths with UNFPA and UNHCR in the Rohingya camps;
- Document the success stories, learnings, challenges and milestones on RMANCH to feed the review of the RMANCH response by health sector in Rohingya camps;
- Spearhead and coordinate with SRH Working Group to implement the findings and recommendations identified by the survey on sonography use in Rohingya camps;
- Liaise and engage for identifying and addressing the bottlenecks in forecasting, procurement and supply chain of priority procurements on RMANCH for UN Agency;
- Perform any other related incident-specific duties, as required by the functional supervisor
C. Required Qualifications
- Education:
Essential:
- Medical degree from a recognized institution
- Post-Graduation / master’s degree in Public health, or related field from a recognized university.
Desirable:
- Certificate or equivalent professional training, self-study or work experience in health or related fields, preferably in RMANCH
- Experience:
Essential:
At least four years of experience in RMANCH at national or sub national authorities.
Desirable:
- At least two years of experience in applying RMANCH principles and tools in low resource settings, and/or health emergency response.
- Experience in UN agency, International Organization, and NGOs etc esp. in an emergency setting such as Rohingya camps;
- Working experience in public health/working with SRH Working Group will be a plus;

D. Remuneration:
- The Candidate selected for this post will get BDT. 144,044/- per month.
- The selected candidate will be responsible to pay all taxes as per government rules and regulations. E-Zone will make statutory deductions towards income tax as per government rules and regulations.
