E-Zone HRM Limited is now accepting applications from Bangladeshi Nationals for the following vacancies under third party outsourcing contract modality:

Emergency Nutrition Officer (ENO)

Duty Station: Cox Bazar, Bangladesh

Contract Duration: 6 months/person. . In case of the continuation of the project in 2020, the contract may be extend.

Reporting to: Nutrition Sector Coordinator, Cox Bazar

A. Objective

The objective of hiring Consultants are to ensure quality of nutrition programming by providing daily on-the-job coaching and mentoring of frontline staff of Nutrition Sector Partners (NSP), to monitor the nutrition activities and support quality assessments and strengthening.

B. Background

In order to address the complex humanitarian situation in Cox Bazar due to a massive influx of Rohingya refugees, the UN agency is providing technical, logistical, and programmatic support, as well as Human Resources support to the Government of Bangladesh to provide Emergency Nutrition services and ensure accessibility of the services by the Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals along with those living in registered camps and host communities.  As a part of human resource support, UN agency requires the services of two Emergency Nutrition Officers (ENOs) to provide crucial technical support.

The consultant will be very instrumental in providing technical support to all partners of the Nutrition Sector (NS) for nutrition programming in camps and host communities.  In addition, the ENOs will support coordination efforts at the field level with key stakeholders.  The ENOs will contribute to strengthening regular monitoring, on-the-job coaching, reporting and providing corrective actions, as well as bottom up planning processes with communities and NSPs alike.  Furthermore, the ENOs will be engaged in different nutrition events including workshops, training activities, etc.  The functions of consultants will ensure quality of nutrition programming and maintain standards of implementation.
 
To ensure effective coverage of all NSPs working in host communities and camps, UN agency requires the services of two Emergency Nutrition Officers (National Consultants) for the Nutrition Sector to provide regular technical support at field level.

C. Scope of work

The National Consultants are to support facility assessments of the Nutrition Sector, monitor implementation of activities, identify gaps and problems, provide on the job support and coaching and build capacity of local level actors.  The consultants will work closely with implementing partners such as National and International Non-Governmental Organizations frontline workers, facility staff, supervisors and managers at the facility level for planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of emergency nutrition interventions activities taking place in the registered camps, makeshift settlements, and host communities of Cox’s Bazaar District. The consultants will work as part of the Nutrition Sector Coordination Team and support the collective response of all partners.

D. Deliverables and Schedules

The assignment is designed for the duration is of 6 months, where below tasks are expected:

  • Monitor service provision of all NSPs, identify gaps and weaknesses
  • Participate in facility assessments and report on the results
  • Facilitate training and workshops
  • Participate in NAW and any nutrition related event
  • Participate in surveys
  • Provide field level support in terms of coaching and on-the-job training in cooperation with the respective NSPs
  • Other assigned tasks

E. Reporting Requirements

Contractor to report to the Nutrition Sector Coordinator, CXB every month on:

  • Monitoring of service provision of NSPs
  • Participation in facility assessments and report on the results
  • Facilitation of training and workshops
  • Participation in NAW and any nutrition related event
  • Participation in surveys
  • Provision of field level support in terms of coaching and on-the-job training in cooperation with the respective NSPs
  • Other assigned tasks

F. Take-home pay

BDT 216,000/per months (consolidated)

G. Profile Requirements, Qualifications, Skills

  • Advanced university degree in Health, Nutrition, or related technical field. A first university degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of advanced university degree.
  • Two to five years of progressively responsible professional work experience in Program management, monitoring, in a related field.
  • Working experience in the Rohingya Response strongly preferred
  • Experience in nutrition program, preferably in emergency and transition contexts.
  • Experience working with government agencies, local authorities, international organizations, NGOs and communities in the field of Nutrition in Emergency context.
  • Fluency in English required. Knowledge of another UN Language is an added advantage

H. Administrative Issues

  • The consultants will be based in CXB district (Ukhiya, Teknaf or Court Bazar, to be decided in consultation with the NS Coordinator) and report to the NS Coordinator, CXB.
  • The consultants will get 216,000 BDT per month (consolidated) and costs for transportation, communication equipment, PC etc. are to be borne by the consultant.
