Job Title: Customer Service Officer
Job Description:
Key responsibilities:
- To attend customer rate, remittance and other enquiries.
- To carry out proper KYC checks
- To update the records for the regular customers.
- To attend the customer complaints and resolve them over the telephone or pass them to the senior colleagues
- To serve the customer over the telephone to create money transfer order
- To answer telephone calls. Record or report all important calls to the line manager or respective colleague.
- To monitor the receipt of funds for the online customers
- To report any untoward incident, anti-money laundering or any suspicious activity report (SAR) to the Nominated Officer.
- To maintain all money transfer records. The I.Ds should be filed in Surname alphabetical order including date on the I.D copies.
- To promote and cross sell Company's Accounts, Fixed Deposit and any other financial products of BSEL to customers. Products such as Government/ Corporate Bonds, Real Estate, Private Business, Stock Market (Global), Stock Market (Bangladesh) as well when they are introduced.
- To assist customers in filling remittance forms, Company's Account opening forms and extend fast and polite service.
- To create and maintain good relations with customers, agents and the correspondent banks.
- To keep a watchful eye on safety and security.
- To maintain the confidentiality and uplift all values and traditions of Company.
- To complete all works based on the nature of work on daily, weekly and monthly basis. No work should be carried forward.
- To discuss the status of work with line manager from time to time so that improvement can be made.
- To attend all other works entrusted by line Manager and others from time to time.
- This job description is subject to change with the change in nature of business and addition or introduction of new technologies in doing the day to day business.
Educational Qualification:
- Education to degree level or equivalent
Skills Required:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong analytical skills
- Bi-lingual (English and Bengali)
- Computer skills (MS Office Package, internet browsing)
- Have to maintain various databases for fulfilling Business Requirement
- Ability to work under pressure and complete all assignment in a timely manner
Experience Required:
- Ideally required minimum 6 months to 12 months experience in similar role. Experience in any exchange house will be treated as an advantage.

2 positions: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
2 positions: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM
Salary Range: BDT 25,000 |
