Job Brief
EMK Center is seeking a dynamic change agent with proven operations leadership experience as the Center Director. The director will lead efforts to drive forward and institutionalize EMK Center’s initiatives related to education and youth development.  The director defines the strategy; facilitates stakeholder relationship and contributes to stakeholder dialogue; provides technical guidance to different units and project teams to further development impact. The director develops an organizational culture and enabling environment in which members of the EMK Center are driven to learn, build connections with strategic partners, share knowledge, innovate and engage in thought leadership in education and youth development.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the EMK Center
• Plan programs involving deadlines, milestones and processes in support of the EMK Center strategy driven by the U.S. Embassy mission goal of furthering public diplomacy in Bangladesh
• Develop budgets and operations
• Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements
• Supervise all program and project managers involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems
• Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people based on analysis of social and political change, assessment of trends, and youth driven public interest
• Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies
• Keep stakeholders informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations
• Represent EMK Center in various forums

Requirements

• Post-graduation or equivalent with specialization in Business Administration, Social Sciences or Humanities required; candidates with U.S. educational background is preferred.
• Proven experience as Director or other managerial position
• Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
• Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
• Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting
• Demonstrated cross-functional expertise in diverse fields such as entrepreneurship, arts, promotion of rights, leadership, volunteerism, education and emerging technologies
• A business acumen with a strategic ability
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities
• Must be a Bangladeshi citizen
