OVERVIEW:

The goal of the EMK MakerLab is to empower youth with the knowledge and skill set to be competitive during a time of rapid technological development, by providing them with access to high-tech resources, like-minded peers, business connections, and inspiring mentors. The EMK MakerLab introduces 21st-century skills and inspires a lifelong love of digital literacy and innovation.

We are looking for someone who is technically inclined with the ability to work under limited supervision. Who will bring students and projects from the different educational/technical institute. As an outreach officer, you are responsible to do public relation related task, to communicate with the organization working in the field of technical and creative education You will play an essential role in, creating creative & engaging social media contents and also assisting members where needed. As an outreach officer of MakerLab, you must be organized, enthusiastic, energetic, and able to interact with others in a professional courteous manner.

Job Responsibilities:

Key Duties and Responsibilities of MakerLab Outreach Officer is to:

• Create public engagement in both online and offline medium
• Engage with universities and club to create collaborative programmes and events
• Develop inter-university/college/club competition or collaborative events
• Develop strategic public relation plan for MakerLab
• Spend an extensive amount of time in out of the office activity
• Follow up the outreach programs to bring more user into MakerLab           
• Prepare creative promotional materials for online and print media
• Prepare and submit reports, evaluations other documents necessary for running EMK MakerLab programs
• Perform related duties as required or assigned from time to time.

Qualification:
We are looking for a person who possesses the following skills

• Efficient at contributing new and creative ideas around planning various events related to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and digital creation.
• Pre-existing connection with the technology and creative club/community will be highly appreciated
• Experience in public speaking
• Experience in debate and cultural activities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable with patience and professionalism
• Willingness to learn and be a quick learner
• Decent graphics design skill
• Minimum 4 years Bachelor degree from a reputed university
• Fluent in spoken English and Bengali.

Experience Requirements:

• Preferred 1 year but freshers are encouraged to apply if he/she got the desired skill that we are looking for.
