Educo Bangladesh is looking for an ‘Admin and Finance Officer’

At the same time, Educo works with duty bearers, especially Parents and Local Government Institutions, to create an enabling environment for Children where they can influence the decisions that affect them.

Currently, the Organization is looking for an Admin and Finance Officer for Administration and Finance Department under Country Office, Dhaka.

Admin and Finance Officer 

Purpose

  • Assist the team by providing efficient financial data management through ERP for the achievement of overall objective of the organization.

Engagement

  • Closely work with Manager Administration and Finance and other staffs for smooth day-to-day payment process and sharing required financial data.
  • Deal/liaison with NGOAB regarding approval and fund clearance of the project.
  • Regular monitor PNGOs expenses.

Delivery

  • Budget preparation review financial report and conduct monitoring visit of PNGOs.
  • Timely NGOAB approval and fund clearance for smooth operation of the project.
  • Financial report for donor and NGOAB.

Job Summary:
As a member of Admin and Finance team, the Admin and Finance Officer will assist the team in budget preparation, conduct monitoring visit of PNGOs, timely NGOAB approval and fund clearance, financial report for donor and NGOAB etc.

NGOAB Liaison

  • Timely submission of annual report to NGOAB
  • Maintain good relationship with NGOAB
  • Any other task related to NGOAB

Partner Monitoring

  • Review monthly expenses report of PNGOs
  • Capacity building to partners through training and coaching
  • Prepare and review partner budget
  • Review Partner fund request and disburse fund to PNGOs
  • Conduct financial monitoring visit to Partners and produce report
  • Conduct Risk Assessment and due diligence of PNGOs
  • Ensure compliance of policies and agreement of the partners

Assist in ERP Accounting Data Entry

  • Assist in completing Monthly execution by entering data in the EPR Globe system within specified timeframe.
  • Report generation from ERP Globe.
  • Backs up important data files to secure storage system.

  • Prepare Financial statements for NGOAB audit and coordination to auditor

Education:
Post-Graduation in Finance/ Accounting/ Accounting and Information Systems.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in Finance and Accounts.
  • National/International NGO experience is preferable.
  • Required experience in Partner monitoring, NGOAB dealings, Data Entry, Reporting, Documentation etc.

Language and Skills:

  • Position requires both English and Bangla at standard level.
  • Advance knowledge in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint and Mail Communication.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation capacity.

Salary and Benefits:
Monthly Gross Salary BDT 58,501 (Taka fifty-eight thousand five hundred and one).
Plus: PF, Gratuity, 02 Festival Bonuses, Insurance, and others admissible benefits as per Educo HR Policy.

Knowledge:

  • Good knowledge about FD6, FD7, FD2, FD3.
  • Country's Tax and Value add Tax related laws.
  • Proper knowledge on accounting software management.
