JOB SUMMARY:
The Child Protection Facilitator, under the direct supervision of the Child Protection Officer, is responsible for providing training, awareness raising activities for major stakeholders in the camp such as Child Protection Committees, teachers and children in the learning facilities and care givers. This is a filed-based position, and the CP Facilitator should expect to spend 5 days per week in the field. |
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct and facilitate trainings, formation of community-based child protection committees and provide inputs in IEC development;
- Develop and maintain good relations with village child protection unit members, learning facility teachers/workers, caregivers and youth groups;
- Organize community meetings and provide the necessary technical support according to the standard and requirement of the project;
- Work with village committees to develop and implement project plans, monitor activities and maintain projects;
- Ensure that all required documentation from field work is prepared professionally and properly filed;
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive filing system for the trainings/workshops conducted including project documents, monitoring notes and photos.
- Collect data from the field, prepare summarized reports and submit to the Child Protection Officer for consolidation.

COMPETENCIES: |
EDUCATION: |
- University degree in a field relevant to Social Sciences or related field.

EXPERIENCE: |
- 2 years of experience in child protection and as a community educator is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and a team player.
- Well-developed communication skills and able to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders as a representative of Educo-ChildFund.

LANGUAGE: |
- Position requires language skills in English. Knowledge about local dialect of CXB is mandatory.
- Very good communication skills in Bangla and English both verbally and in written.

KNOWLEDGE: |
- The candidate should have good knowledge on Child rights, child protection and education.

SALARY: |
Consolidated monthly salary will be BDT. 46,000. Salary is negotiable based on Competency, Experience and Salary history. |
