S/he will be based in Educo Country Office, Dhaka with frequent field visits in the project areas |
This position supports positive branding of Educo through diverse communication strategies aligned with program priorities, the 10-year Global Impact Framework (GIF), and the 5-year Country Programmatic Framework (CPF).
S/he will assist the Coordinator – Communication in strengthening Educo’s visibility and acceptance across internal and external platforms. The role ensures effective integration between programs and communications, accurately showcasing project interventions while adhering to donor standards and utilizing appropriate, creative communication channels.
- Coordination & communication among different Educo teams, line manager & SMT to plan & execute the communication strategy in line with the Educo global communication strategy.
- Smooth communication with relevant partners & donors to promote Educo’s brand & visibility.
- Liaise with global-national and project-based communication teams, brand team, digital and social media team to promote the brand and activities of Educo.
- Ensure a healthy relationship with press and electronic medias for proactive media campaigns, communication and maintain media database.
- Appropriately communicate with external audiences to meet any queries about Educo & its mission & operation.
- Contribute to strengthening the visibility of Educo Bangladesh.
- Support raising public awareness of Educo’s activities across Bangladesh.
- Assist in producing quality communication materials and enhancing networking efforts.

- Coordinate with printing and media vendors for production of IEC and visual materials.
- Represent Educo in meetings, workshops, and networking platforms when assigned.
- Assist in organizing national-level advocacy events with Government and NGO stakeholders on education, child labor, child rights, and youth issues.
- Support planning and implementation of campaigns on key thematic days, including the World Day Against Child Labor.

- Assist the Resource Mobilization team in integrating communication components into project proposals.

- Provide periodic updates on communication initiatives to respective Managers.
- Support preparation of inputs for Annual and institutional reports (HO and CO levels) of Educo Bangladesh.
- Coordinate with departments to ensure reporting compliance (photos, presentations, case studies, quotes, logo use, branding consistency).
- Assist in publishing the biannual newsletter in collaboration with relevant teams.

Bachelor’s degree in English or Mass Communication and Journalism with knowledge of developing diverse communication materials.
Position requires both Bangla and English at advance level
| Experience and Requirements |
- Freshers are also encouraged to apply
- Experience in communication, media engagement, networking and advocacy-related activities will add value
- Completion of any certified course or formal training in photography, videography, and video editing will be considered an added advantage.
- Advance knowledge in MS word, MS Excel, Power point
- Experience in Video editing such as Adobe premiere pro, Website & social media management
- Excellent communications skills (verbal, written, electronic); ability to communicate complex, technical information in a simple and articulate manner
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving capacity
- Understanding of Educo’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Principles
- Ability to follow procedures and work cooperatively with team members
- Broadly focused but with the capacity to pay attention to details
- Have skill to prioritize tasks and to understand the situation
- Understanding of a child rights-based approach
- Excellent writing, reporting, and oral communication skills (ability to provide an original writing sample required)
- Demonstrated experience in documentation and publication management
