The Finance and Administrative Officer will support the effective implementation of the Humanitarian Program by ensuring accurate financial management, timely administrative processes, and strong financial oversight. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role is responsible for managing financial data through the ERP system, supporting budgeting and partner financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and conducting financial monitoring and in-house controls. The position contributes to sound financial decision-making and accountability, enabling the program to achieve its objectives efficiently and in line with organizational policies.
The Finance and Administrative Officer will work closely with the Project Manager, Head of Humanitarian Response, and other relevant internal staff to ensure efficient day-to-day payment processing and the accurate and timely sharing of all required financial and administrative information. The role will coordinate with external vendors and service providers to manage various types of payments in compliance with organizational procedures.
The position will also regularly engage with Partner NGOs (PNGOs) to monitor expenditures, review financial reports, support budgeting processes, and ensure compliance with agreed financial standards. The Finance and Administrative Officer will consolidate partner expenses and prepare burn rate and financial monitoring reports for relevant stakeholders to support informed decision-making and effective program management.
- Timely and accurate completion of the month-end accounting close, ensuring completeness and accuracy of the general ledger, sub-ledgers, cash counts, bank reconciliations, and all supporting documentation.
- Consolidated partner expense reports, including budget preparation, expenditure tracking, and financial monitoring visit reports for Partner NGOs (PNGOs).
- Proper verification of financial documents, preparation of cheque and bank payment requisitions, and timely data entry in the ERP system, ensuring all payment-related documents are accurately recorded and securely filed.
- Preparation and submission of accurate financial reports for donors and NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB) in compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines.
- Availability and maintenance of complete, accurate, and well-organized financial records, reports, and schedules to support internal and external audits and organizational reviews.
- Effective delivery of assigned administrative services, including procurement, travel arrangements, office services, and payroll processing, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Preparation of periodic financial reports and reconciliation of accounting records to ensure data accuracy and financial integrity.
- Review and verification of major payments and invoices to ensure compliance with organizational policies, accounting standards, and donor requirements.

Minimum Graduation in Finance/ Accounting/ Accounting and Information Systems or relevant subject
Position requires language skills in both English and Bangla at an advanced level
| Experience and Requirements |
- 3 to 4 years of working experience in Finance and Accounts department, preferably in a National / International NGO.
- Knowledge on Finance and Administrative Procedure
- Knowledge on country's Tax and Value add Tax related laws.
- Experience in handling and managing Accounts, Audit, VAT, Project Costs etc.
- Advance knowledge on MS word, MS Excel and Power Point, Bangla Bijoy Typing
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving capacity
- Ability to adapt the international strategy in the local context
- Understanding of Educo’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Principles
- Ability to follow procedures and work cooperatively with team members
- Broadly focused but with the capacity to pay attention to details
- Have skill to prioritize tasks and to understand the situation
- Proven leadership role in technical areas at both field and country level
- Understanding of a child rights-based approach
- Experience in working FD7 project and its compliances, ERP Globe, Country's Tax and Vat related laws
