Project Title |
“Strengthening Meaningful participation of factory workers, and their children In Leveraging decent Environment to enjoy their rights and well-being in Bangladesh (SMILE)” |
To manage all associated activities of SMILE project. S/he will be the focal person of local partners for SMILE project.
- The Project Officer will be responsible for designing implementation plan together with the partner organization and provide strategic and technical support/ guide for smooth implementation of the project.
- S/he will be responsible for supporting partner, communicating, capacity building, maintain effective relationship with partners and other stakeholders for smooth implementation of the project.
- The Project Officer will manage project budget according to the plan of project implementation. S/he will keep the line management updated regarding the project progress
- Develop Annual Operation Plan (AOP) in collaboration with the partner organizations and ensure the timely implementation of the activities.
- Ensure proper budgetary execution of the partners and assist them for future planning.
- Liaison with other service providers and Upazila/ Municipality and Union/ Ward level Government representatives with the support of the partners.
- Ensure support to partners in preparation and collection of different reports and other deliverables.
- Prepare different periodic (monthly, quarterly, Half Yearly and Yearly) progress report, event report, standard guideline (program quality criteria), case study/good practice and submit to the line management.
- Provide training/support to partners and other stakeholders to ensure the project effectiveness.

- Periodic project visit and share the updates and learnings with partners and Project manager.
- Build link with respective government, local, national and international organization working in the community.

- Initiate strong advocacy/lobby with local government for ensuring necessary support and cooperation.
- Initiate strong advocacy/lobby with project relevant RMG factory Authorities and relevant govt. and non-govt. stakeholders for ensuring necessary support and cooperation.

- Maintain strong relation with the program, support and assist line manager and other colleagues to achieve the project results.

Reporting and Documentation |
- Ensure quality and timely monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly/final report from the partners.
- Project wise compilation for HO MEAL reporting.
- Analysis of the achievements and challenges from the reports and act accordingly.
- Provide required report to the immediate supervisor.
- Provide project action plan and visit/progress/ thematic report.
- Deliver any required change of the activity.
- Ensure proper documentation for future reference and learning in relevant MS Teams channels.

- Graduation/Post-graduation in Social Science and other relevant subject from any reputed university.
Experience and Requirements |
- Minimum 04 years of working experience in similar position in any national or international development organization preferable in child rights-based organization.
- Proven working history in Community Engagement, partnership management, Education, Gender, Decent work, Adolescent and Youth empowerment, Child Rights and Protection, Child labour, Livelihood, Disaster and Risk Management, Climate Change etc.
- Successful project facilitation experience at RMG factories for promoting rights and wellbeing of the factory workers and their children.
- Working Experience on project related to Day Care initiative for children, Community based Learning initiative for children and adolescent.
- Understanding and Commitment to Educo’s Mission, Vision, Values and Principles including rights-based approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to write high quality reports and other project documents.
- Proven experience on training/workshop facilitation
- Ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines, and work cooperatively with team
- Have skill to prioritize tasks and to understand the situation
- Capacity to balance work-life and maintain smooth professional relationship
