Job Title: Assistant IT Manager

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant IT Manager to join our team in Cumilla. The ideal candidate will support the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure, systems, and software applications within the factory. This role requires both hands-on technical support and strategic coordination to ensure smooth and secure IT operations that support manufacturing efficiency in line with the group standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day IT operations including hardware, software, network, and security systems. 
  • Monitor and maintain factory-based ERP, MIS, inventory, and production tracking systems. 
  • Provide technical support to all departments including troubleshooting issues related to workstations, printers, barcode scanners, mobiles, tablets and factory automation tools. 
  • Collaborate with IT Manager to coordinate and implement system upgrades, network enhancements, and cybersecurity measures. 
  • Maintain and support LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, firewalls, and internet connectivity. 
  • Ensure data backup protocols and disaster recovery systems are functioning as intended. 
  • Train factory staff on the correct use of IT equipment and internal applications. 
  • Assist in managing external vendors for IT hardware and software procurement and services. 
  • Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, and user access logs. 
  • Support compliance with internal and external IT audits and regulatory requirements. 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 3–6 years of experience in IT support or systems administration, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Solid understanding of Windows OS, Hyper-V, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Cloud (365 Environment), networking concepts, and server management. 
  • Experience with factory ERP systems (e.g., M3, ProX, or local ERP platforms) is an advantage. 
  • Knowledge of industrial machinery interfaces, barcode systems, and factory automation software is a plus. 
  • Having vendor certification from Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, Fortinet or SonicWall will be considered an advantage.  
  • Exposure to corporate enterprise networks, including VLAN, VPN, router and switch configuration and network performance optimization. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts when required. 

Work Environment & Conditions: 

  • Based on-site at our manufacturing facility in Cumilla. 
  • Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required for system upgrades or troubleshooting. 
  • Salary negotiable.
