Head of Finance & Accounts- 1 Position

The Position will be responsible for maintaining Organization’s Finance and accounts. He/she will also lead the financial management of the different funds from the PKSF and other Financial Institutes.

Major Responsibilities

  • Ensure to maintain all books of accounts of the organization and ensure bank accounts, cash management, fixed assets management, stock management, advance and reimbursement, audit arrangements, TAX and VAT regulations and compliance with the organization;
  • Prepare budget and ensure actual expenditure is in line with the budget, maintain disbursement, reconciliation, and loan disbursement according to Organization’s Financial Guideline;
  • Maintain statements in compliance with the regulatory requirements of the related bodies-Auditors (Internal and External), PKSF, MRA etc;
  • Ensure proper documentation, control and maintain necessary records with respect to income tax related issues, TDS, VDS, VAT, AIT and other related documents;
  • Preserve all procurement records and financial records in accordance with the provisions of the PPA 2006;
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual financial reports and any other related reports as per requirement;
  • Maintain liaison and coordinate with all department regarding Organization’s accounts and finance; and so on;
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Management.

Educational and other Requirements

  • Master Degree preferably in Accounting/MBA, major in Finance or relevant discipline;
  • Candidates with CA/CMA/ACCA or any relevant professional degree/certificate will get preferences;
  • Advance knowledge on IAS/IFRS or BAS/BFRS;
  • Training in Financial Management will be treated as extra quality;
  • Advanced knowledge on accounting components and its inter-linkages;
  • Excellent analytical skills to provide guidance on qualitative and quantitative methods and to establish strong understanding of programs; 
  • Experience in using AIS & MIS tools of microfinance will get preference;
  • Through knowledge on accounting practices in development Organization and performance management;
  • Basic understanding on NGO work and sound knowledge of statutory regulation, system design with development and knowledge of financial transaction analysis;
  • Good operating skills of Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel and MS Word) with software operation and reporting will be treated as essential skills;
  • Required to have excellent communication skills;
  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality;
  • Willingness to travel to remote locations and will be responsible for mentoring and coaching the financial focal of the organization.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in same position and related work in any reputed Development Organization preferably in Partner Organization of PKSF.

Age Limit: Maximum 50 years.

Work Station: DESHA’s Head Office; extensive field visit across the country is required.

Assignment Duration: Full Time.
