We are seeking several qualified and experienced “Area Sales Manager” to oversee our sales operations for agricultural inputs in Bangladesh. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing a team of sales representatives, developing sales strategies, and driving sales growth in their designated area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in input trade, distribution, sales & marketing, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.


Area Sales Manager- Animal Health

Report to: COO, Bangladesh - Cultive8 Technologies Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve target and increase market share.
  • Manage a team of sales representatives, including recruitment, training and performance management.
  • Review customer demand, market trend and competitors' activities to identify opportunity and threats.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective promotional campaigns and materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and dealers in the area.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Identify and address inventory management issues and customer complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including sales and credit policies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and other relevant forums.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and share knowledge with the sales team

Required Experience & Skill (Technical):

  • Bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine/ agriculture/ science/ commerce/ social science/ arts with 7-8 years of Experience in sales and marketing of Animal Health inputs (Feed, Hygiene, Drugs or other relevant products)
  • Diploma in agriculture/ science/ commerce/ social science/ arts with 10 - 12 years of Experience in sales and marketing of Animal Health inputs (Feed, Nutritional, Hygiene, Drug or other relevant products)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Knowledge of local languages and dialects spoken by farmers in the area is a plus.

Required Experience & Skill (General):

  • Knowledge of Input Industry: The candidate should have a thorough understanding of animal health inputs such as Feed, Nutritional, Hygiene, Drug, and should be aware of the local market trends and customers' needs.
  • Sales and Marketing Skills: The candidate should have good communication skills and be able to persuade customers to buy the company's products. They should be familiar with different marketing strategies, such as promotions and advertisements.
  • Customer Service: The candidate should be able to build and maintain relationships with customers and ensure customer satisfaction by addressing their concerns and queries.
  • Time Management: The candidate should be able to manage their time efficiently to meet sales targets and attend to customer needs promptly.
  • Computer Skills: The candidate should be proficient in using computers, including word processing, spreadsheet software, and email.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: The candidate should be able to analyze data and market trends to develop effective sales strategies and address customer problems.
  • Teamwork: The candidate should be able to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of Local Languages: Knowledge of local languages and dialects spoken by farmers in the area is an added advantage as it helps the candidate communicate effectively with the customers.
