Council for Social Development Foundation (CSDF) is a nongovernmental organization, committed to overcome the people’s vulnerability and sufferings through ensuring social security, peace and communal harmony for sustainable development since 1999. CSDF head office is based in Uttara, Dhaka.

Position Profile

The Project under USAID’s Obirodh: Road to Tolerance project will work with female students of 9-12 grade of Alia and Qawmi Madrasa. Youth Volunteer/Peer Leaders will conduct classroom sessions, initiate micro project demonstration and experience sharing session to develop peace building role and leadership skills.

Education requirements:

  • Fresh University degree holder or current students having graduation preferable in subject social science, social work, social welfare, anthropology from well reputed institutions
  • O/A levels background will get preference

Key skills requirements:

  • Have a strong knack to volunteerism/social work
  • willing to work with Madrasha students
  • Respectful to faith-based code of conduct and atmosphere
  • Excellent facilitation and interpersonal communication skill
  • Extra curriculum activities and engagement with youth platform or network is desirable
  • Voluntary social work experience will get preference
  • Quick learner and positive mindset
  • Proficiency in the English language (reading, writing and speaking)
  • Computer literacy in MS office (MS word, owe point and Excel
  • Report writing, preparation and documentation of case study, best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Work under direct supervision and guidance of program officer
  • Attend capacity developments events
  • Conduct class room sessions and extracurricular activities
  • Develop peer relationship with targeted female students
  • Develop and maintain relationship with students, teachers and relevant officials.
  • Assist students to develop micro projects
  • Assist to arrange even
  • Prepare reports and attend sharing meetings and feedback sessions

  • CSDF will provide female friendly workplace and highly seasoned staff relation
  • The internship will include USAID endorsed certificate and allowance.
