Senior Research Associate
The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), a leading think tank in Bangladesh, invites applications from promising researchers keen to pursue an intellectually challenging career in development research to work on economic issues. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and have keen interest in policy analysis in a broad range of areas including macroeconomics, development economics, international economics and financial sector. The position demands academic rigour, commitment, initiative and creativity. Candidates should have experience in delivering research programmes and demonstrated capacity to undertake research work independently and supervise research work of others. The selected candidate will also be responsible for supervision and management of research studies and development of research proposals, prepare project progress reports, compile research reports etc. He/she will be adept at networking with other institutions, government agencies and professionals. Candidates should have a Master’s degree in Economics from a reputed university with a minimum CGPA of 3.60, which may be relaxed only in the case of (a) publication in recognized journals, or (b) foreign degree at master’s level or (c) specialized job experiences. Three (3) years of effective service experiences as Research Associate or in a comparable position is required. The length of service may be relaxed in exceptional cases (good publication records or a foreign degree at master’s level) A gross salary starting from Taka 81,200 per month will be offered under regular employment to the successful candidate, along with other admissible benefits. The actual compensation package will be based on an assessment of the candidate’s qualifications and suitability, including experience.
