Front Desk Officer

The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), a reputed think tank, invites applications from promising professionals for the position of Front Desk Officer.

The successful candidate will need to have a Master’s degree in any discipline from any recognised university/ institution with good academic results. Candidates should have excellent skills in managing the front office functions of CPD. Competence in proficiency in English speaking, strong command over MS Office, especially Microsoft Word, Excel and verbal communication skills is required.

The candidate should have at least three (3) years of service experience as a front desk officer in any reputed organization. The successful candidate will be associated with CPD’s Administration and Finance Division.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and represent the front office of CPD 

  • Responsible for answering a multi-line phone system and redirecting them to the appropriate staff

  • Greet and receive all kinds of guests/staff upon arrival at the office

  • Responsible for receiving and dispatching the parcels/letters/documents

  • Responsible for managing contacts, databases and office correspondences

  • Responsible for maintaining check-in and check-out register for the visitors/staff

  • Responsible for managing office store, tracking office supplies, purchasing and procurement of grocery and stationaries supplies as per office policies

  • Receive invoices issued by suppliers/vendors and maintaining a register

  • Support on office event and dialogue management

  • Follow up on the duty of security guards and taking measures for further requirements

  • Support administration on office premise management, vehicle management, event management, and on relevant administrative issues

  • Responsible for the sale of CPD publications

  • Support administration and dialogue divisions as and when required

  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Management/Supervisor.

A gross salary starting from Taka 55,000 per month will be offered to the successful candidate, along with other admissible benefits. The actual compensation package will be based on the assessment of the candidate’s qualifications and suitability, including experience.
