Concern Worldwide, Bangladesh has been implementing Emergency Rohingya Response Programmes in Cox’s Bazar with the funding from different donors, most of which are short-term projects.

Title of the Position: Intern - Logistics (Emergency Response)
Number of Position: One (01)
Type of Contract:  Three (03) months
Monthly Remuneration: BDT 15,000/-
Duty Station: Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar

Job Purpose: S/he will support in organizing vendor enlistment activities including documents receiving, database preparation, documents checking, vendor communication, presenting to the committee, organizing file management etc. S/he will also provide general logistics support according to Concern Policies & Procedure in close coordination with the logistics team.
Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Learn the objective of the logistics and supply chain specifically purpose of vendor enlistment
  • Check and organize documents according to the purpose
  • Communication with vendors as required
  • Database preparation for analysis  and vendor enlistment 
  • Present documents and database to procurement committee evaluation
  • Provide general logistics support in close coordination with logistics team
  • Organize vendor file and proper documentation
  • Keep close coordination with transport and transport team.
  • Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the line manager or logistics team.
  • Promoting and ensuring compliance with the requirements of Concern’s Code of Conduct and its associated safeguarding policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability (CHS) to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries, and to welcome feedback.
  • Any other duties as specified by the Line Manager/Emergency Director/Logistics Team

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from any reputed university. Business background will be preferable.
  • At least 01 year experience of working in a relevant field of logistics for international and development oriented organisations. Having similar working experience will be given preference.
  • Proficient knowledge of using standard computer software.
  • Good communication skill
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal as well as Bangla.
