Terms of Reference For hiring a Consultant Product development (Standardization) and Marketing for the Sustainable Enterprise Project (SEP) Sub-project ‘Eco-Friendly Construction Materials’ Implemented by: Community Development Centre-CODEC Sustainable Enterprise Project (SEP) project is jointly financed by Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and World Bank. The objective of SEP is to increase the adoption of environmentally sustainable practices by targeted micro-enterprises. SEP has selected 30 lead districts as the project working area to demonstrate the project impact on different sub-sectors. The project prioritizes a selected number of polluting microenterprise business clusters and supports the expansion of innovative economic activities conducive to a more sustainable environment. CODEC is implementing a sub-project of SEP, namely, “Promotion of Environment Friendly Construction Materials and Technologies in Coastal Region of Bangladesh and use of Eco-Friendly Construction Materials” in Bagerhat, Khulna Patuakhali and Noakhali District. This 01 year June 2022 to May 2023 sub-project will support to achieve global goals of the main SEP project. The sub-project activities will be implemented in the business clusters of the eco-friendly construction subsector to improve the overall business and environment of the microenterprises. The main purpose of this sub-project is to ensure environment-friendly materials such as concrete hollow block, Solid block, eco-bricks, unipaver (Uniblock) and pavement tiles in the construction process. Furthermore, this sub-project aimed at introducing an environment-protective construction process to the micro-enterprises to reduce environmental pollution. The use of safety equipment during traditional and modern construction processes is the major activity of the Sub-project. Now, CODEC has taken initiative to hire a consultant for market development for the project cycle period to develop a market or business of the eco-friendly construction materials in and outside of the project area.
