I. Primary Purpose
The Production Operation Manager (POM), assigned to a Service Provide (SP), assumes full
responsibility for the production of all Coach products regarding Quality, Productivity / Efficiency
and CSR. The POM is Coach’s Ambassador/Interface with the SP and supports all Coach initiatives
related to operations within the SP. The POM is the communication hub (in bothdirections) between
Coach and the SP. |

1. Quality
- Partners with SP to achieve Quality targets / KPI’s.
- Owns training, coaching and mentoring of SPs entire Quality Team: inline
inspectors, end-line & FG inspectors, FG auditors.
- Responsible to ensure all inspectors have been tested and have passed
the required examinations to achieve quality certification and authorized
certificate issued.
- Ensure correct number of certified inspectors at SP location.
- Collaborate with SP leadership to build quality responsibility &
accountability by SP’s line supervisors.
- Responsible for quality issues resolution via Root Cause Analysis – Action
Plan Implementation.
- Responsible for quality standards implementation to achieve continuous
quality improvement.

2. Production Efficiency
- Partners with SP to achieve productivity / efficiency targets / KPIs.
- Promotes and supports a culture of continuous productivity, efficiency
improvement and Lean implementation.
- Identifies efficiency challenges / weaknesses and propose solutions and
opportunities for improvements.
- Supports implementation of improved efficiency models adoptions.
- Requests SWAT team support when needed and follows up with
consultations (SWAT, SP & POM).
- Measures and reports Lean KPI scores.
- Ensures 7s best practices are constantly on display & practiced.

3. Social Compliance (CSR)
- Reports any/all compliance issues to SP and Coach CSR team.
- Partners with SP to follow up on Coach CSR Audit report findings and drives
pro-active issue remediation.
- Partners with SP to achieve CSR KPI targets.

4. Coach Ambassador / Relationship Interface
- Rolls out & supports any / all Coach Initiatives related to assigned SP.
- Develops close partnership with on-site engineer & SP key personnel to
ensure successful production trials & smooth transition of samples from
development, through commercialization and on into production.
- Builds good working relationships and influence across all levels and
functions at the SP.
- Acts as a Center of Communication between Coach Functions & SP.

- The POM reports into the Director, Production Operations, India & Bangladesh.
There are no direct reports into the POM position
The POM interacts regularly with:

f. PM / Planning Team
- The POM is jointly responsible for achieving KPIs targets and driving continuous
improvement for these functions at their assigned SP, measured and reported with the
Balanced Scorecard.
- The POM will be liaising with the respective POD to identify SP priorities based on specific
needs (strengths & weaknesses) within their operation. The daily work flow will be guided
by a Task Map, designed specifically for the SP.
