Organizational Brief: CNRS is a well-established national NGO in Bangladesh, recognized for its strong commitment to environmental sustainability and community development. Founded in 1994, CNRS has consistently engaged in pro-environmental initiatives, earning recognition from local, national, and international stakeholders, including government bodies and funding agencies. Its innovative approaches and impactful learning outcomes have positioned CNRS as a key player in environmental conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods. In collaboration with Helvetas, CNRS is set to implement the Agricultural Infrastructure component of WFP’s Resilience Program in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. This initiative aims to strengthen community resilience by improving agricultural infrastructure, enhancing food security, and supporting sustainable livelihood opportunities for both Rohingya refugees and host communities in the region.
Project Brief: Project FISHNET, supported by The Ocean Community Empowerment and Nature (OCEAN) Grants Programmeunder the Blue Planet Fund (BPF), involves national NGOs, CBOs, and INGO, with technical assistance from the Institute of Marine Sciences of Chittagong University. Funded jointly by the UK’s Department for Environment,Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), the project aims to tackle poverty among marginalized fisherfolk while mitigating marine ecosystem degradation. Through capacity building and empowering fisherfolk, FISHNET fosters their involvement in decision-making processes and revitalizes common-pool resources. CNRS implementing through the consortium, partnering with Lead of UTTARAN, Action Against Hunger, WJCC, CBDP, and SheRee.
Job Description / Responsibility
- Oversee the day-to-day implementation of Project FISHNET
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive project monitoring and evaluation framework, tracking progress towards project goals and impact.
- Prepare reports (narrative and financial) and Facilitate workshops and training programs
- Work with technical experts for mitigating marine ecosystem degradation.
- Support the development and implementation of co-management plans
- Contribute to data collection and analysis related to marine biodiversity and ecosystem health.
- Participate in relevant meetings, workshops, and conferences.
- Regular travel to project sites and communities may be required.
- Any other activities as assigned
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in relevant subject, (Marine science/ Fisheries subject will be preferred)
Experience Requirements: Minimum 4 years working experience within NGO/INGO for grant management

- Strong ability to work the team and skill in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Skill in reporting, documentation & facilitation and excellent communications skills in both English and Bangla
- Willingness and ability to drive a motorcycle in the field as and when required and should have a valid driving license
Salary: BDT 46000/- per month, all inclusive
