Position: Balance of Plant Engineer (BOPE)

Educational Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electrical/Mechanical/Power Plant Engineering from any recognized university.
- Skills Required: Power Plant Operation and teamwork
- Effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Well Speaking and writing ability in English language.
The BOP (Balance of Plant) Engineer is responsible for the completion of any planned and unplanned Balance of Plant tasks including routine inspection, troubleshooting in a safe and professional manner in the power plant operation under operation department.
Balance of plant engineer job responsibility
- Be responsible for safety, environmental and economic operation of peripheral equipment and systems, which are under his management.
- Be responsible for peripheral equipment and systems startup, monitoring, inspection, adjustment, shutdown, maintenance and on-site equipment operation.
- Controls the following plant process and electrical distribution through plant control system (DCS) and other process control devices. BOP Engineers monitor inspect the following processed but not limited to: Water Intake system, Raw water Treatment System, Demineralization System, Waste Water Treatment System, Closed Cooling-water System, Sewage Treatment System.
- Monitors the operation and performance of the BOP area while on shift. Read, interpret, and adjust meters and gauges to make sure plant equipment is operating properly.
- Identifies problems with plant equipment and clearly communicates the conditions associated with these problems to the plant maintenance group.
- Cooperate with other operation Engineers, Efficiency Engineer, Chemists and Operation Technicians to meet most safe, reliable and minimum efficient operation in the plant.
- Execute work/operation permit rules; implement safety, technical measures and various regulations and systems.
- Assist to shift in charge in completing various economic index, carrying out subindex competition and implementing energy-saving, cost-reducing measures.
- Join technical and basic trainings, accident anticipation and anti-accident drill.

- Before duty is shifted, he should seriously check equipment, operation log sheet, data sheet and report to shift in charge immediately.
- Seriously execute inspection system. Take measures immediately if finding any defect or the abnormal; make a record and report to shift in charge.
- Seriously record data; fill in operation log sheet with actual and detailed content, clear writing.
- Perform technical data management, as well as equipment and environment hygiene works.
- Complete other tasks assigned by management level.
Experience Requirements
- At least 2 to 3 year(s) in Plant Operation
- Work experience Gas Turbine combined cycle power plant.
