About CHRF
Child Health Research Foundation (CHRF) is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to scientific research, advancing scientific knowledge and promoting science education among diverse audiences. CHRF is registered under the NGO Affairs Bureau and was founded in 2007 by a multidisciplinary research group, we operate with the core mission to improve child health by facilitating appropriate policy decisions on treatment and prevention of infectious diseases through quality research and advocacy using available resources. We conduct research in four hospitals (Bangladesh Shishu Hospital & Institute, Dr. MR Khan Shishu hospital, Chittagong Ma-O-Shishu Hospital, and Kumudini Women’s Medical College) and five microbiology laboratories around the country. We collaborate with different international organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, World Health Organization, Edinburgh University, Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University, Centre for Disease Control, etc.

We invite applications for the position of “Senior IT Officer” to join our IT Team.

Job location: Dhaka, Bangladesh

Employment term: Fixed-Term

Vacancy: 1

Salary range: Negotiable (depending on the experience and/or qualifications of the candidate)

Benefits: Contributory provident fund, festival allowance (Eid/Puja/Christmas and Baishakhi) and two days weekend.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and configure laptop, workstations including servers, and peripherals like printers and scanners.
Install and configure operating systems and application software on computers and servers.
Troubleshoot network problems, which may involve identifying and resolving connectivity and configuration issues.
Monitor and manage CCTV operations and other surveillance equipment to ensure security and safety.
Configure and maintain firewall devices, routers, manageable switches, and network technologies like LAN, WLAN, VLAN, and NAT.
Monitoring firewalls
Helping to monitoring and executing security policies, standards and compliances
Overseeing incident response, including root cause analysis and remediation of security breaches
Assisting in conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits
Conducting basic cyber security training to end users
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned, which may include tasks specific to your organization's needs.

Required Qualifications, Experience

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science Engineering. from any reputed university.
At least 4/5-year practical experience in the related field
Excellent organizational and time management Skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
Good command of writing skills both in Bangla and English
Having a cybersecurity certification or knowledge will be considered an added advantage
