Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Fully understand and follow the company’s Health, Environmental Protection, and Safety policies. Ensure everyone strictly adheres to all safety regulations to keep the workplace safe for everyone.
  •  Monitor and operate safely and efficiently, observing all safety precautions, practices, and regulations of the following equipment:
  • Turbo expander, Booster compressors, GTG, SGC, FGC, Gas Generator & Diesel Generator, Pumps, Instrument Air Compressors, Hydraulic control Panels, Automatic Valves, Pressure switches & Vessels, TEG Pump, Wellhead Equipment, Gas and Condensate Separators, Heat Exchangers, Firefighting and Safety Equipment’s, TEG Regeneration System, Filters, Tanks, and process other equipment
  • Provide leadership to the team of Operations Technicians and Utility Workers on the job to ensure we meet our goals efficiently, reliably, and cost-effectively. Reinforce all Operational Excellence (OE) guidelines and Safe Work Practices according to the Chevron Way. Additionally, report all activities to the Lead Operations Specialist.
  • Conducts well tests, including wellhead integrity and gas & condensate custody meter data. Monitors metering station data, daily logs, and required readings on equipment and pressure vessels. Records and checks tubing and casing pressure, along with all other relevant activities throughout the plant and well site, following the appropriate Operating Procedures (OP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Work Instructions (WI).
  • Perform the isolation, purging, and cleaning of pressure vessels and piping for both external and internal inspections, following the guidance of the Operations Shift Lead.
  • Carry out planned plant shutdowns and well perforation and surveillance campaigns safely and efficiently.
  • Actively participate in all Operator Routine Duty (ORD) processes.
  • Get trained and perform routine first-line maintenance, such as cleaning or replacing gauge glasses, cleaning strainers, greasing valves, and adding lubricants under the Operator Driven Reliability (ODR) process.
  • Report all process variables that are outside predefined limits and issue work orders for troubleshooting as appropriate into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (JDE).
  • Meet production expectations and maintain production specifications as per GPSA. Ensure process and equipment availability to provide plant online efficiency and maximum deliverability to meet the expectations of the PSC. Ability to pull samples for data analysis and interpret results
  • As a member of the on-site emergency response team, participate in emergency response exercises.
  • Comply with Chevron Compliance and Bangladesh compliance guidelines.
  • Participate in team safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job safety analyses to improve overall operational efficiency and safety. In-depth understanding and proven ability to lead task safely in accordance with Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines.
  • Practice teamwork within your work group and with other groups at the facility by assisting others in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance (PM) activities, and other projects to improve overall work efficiency and facility safety.
  • Continuously improve production operations and safety standards. Contribute ideas to enhance efficiency and safety through CP submissions, stop work authority, and reporting HID/Near misses. Apply the highest operational safety procedures and strive for overall operational excellence.
  • Carry out any additional tasks as per business needs relevant to your areas of training and job experience and related to the company’s operations. Position will require both Day/Night shift work.
  • Set a personal example in safety, workmanship, punctuality, good housekeeping, and a positive work ethic for all subordinates and co-workers and adapt to a multinational working environment.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree from a recognized polytechnic institute or university in any branch of engineering. Educational qualifications may be relaxed for candidates with significant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petro-Chemical industry.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with 2-5 years of relevant operational experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with relevant HSE understanding and experienced application in operations
  • Preference will be given to candidates with relevant analytical skills in operational sampling, laboratory analysis, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Bangla.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • A strong commitment to health, environment, and safety.
