Expression of Interest (EOI)

Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a national NGO working for the development for life quality of person with disability through mainstreaming disability issue towards an inclusive society since 1996. “Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Digital Service (IPDDS)” is a three year long project of CDD that has been supported by CBM Global Disability Inclusion is going to be implemented at five Upzilla of five districts in four divisions in Bangladesh. Now the project is looking for a suitable individual Consultant/Firm for conducting research on the overall situation and to address the challenges and barriers on disability inclusive digital literacy.

Scope of Work The purpose of the research is to have a clear picture on the current situation of persons with disabilities to access existing digital services in Bangladesh. The study will also explore to identify the scope of work for creating an inclusive digital service for all.
The findings of the study will provide an understanding whether the inequalities persist. At the same time, this study will support to design the capacity enhancement interventions for people with disabilities as well as it will give an opportunity to accumulate the existing policies on digitalization.

Qualification for Consultant
  • Higher university degree in development.
  • Experience in inclusive development
  • Experience in institutional capacity-building / organizational development
  • Experience in quantitative as well as qualitative data collection and analysis.
  • Experience in participatory evaluation methodologies and community mobilization.
  • Previous experience in consulting on Gender and SHGs initiatives.
  • Good understanding on disability issues.
  • Priority will be given to persons having evaluation experience for international donor supported projects.  The team shall include both male and female members, and a person with disabilities in the team would be considered an asset.
