Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices in Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, and Sylhet. CB is implementing 86 projects covering 206 upazilas focusing on eight goals i.e. i) Social Welfare and Service of Love for Vulnerable Communities; 2) Ecological Conservation, Climate Justice and Sustainable Food System; 3) Humanitarian Response and Disaster Management; 4) Education, Skill Development and Employment Creation; 5) Health Care, Nutrition and Education; 6) Development of Indigenous Peoples; 7) Integral Human Development; and 8) Institutional Development and Sustainability.

Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is looking for qualified professional (woman/man) for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for the post of Program Officer (DIP) under Caritas Central Office.

Details of Position:

Position  : Program Officer (DIP)

Age : Maximum 40 years (as on 31/01/2026)
Reporting to : Senior Manager (DIP)
Salary : Tk. 65,000/-(Consolidated) per month.
Bonus   : As per organizational policy
Job Nature : Contractual/ Temporary
Job Duration :
March – October 2026 (which may be extended for future periods subject to the satisfactory performance and fund availability).

Required Educational Qualification:

  • Post-graduation/Master’s degree in a relevant field from any recognized university.

Required Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in development projects focused on monitoring, supervision, and reporting of multi projects in NGO Sector.

Required Competencies:

  • Proven working experience with Indigenous Peoples (IPs) and in the development of Cooperative Credit Unions (CCUs).
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, analytical, and interpretation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and coordinate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the capacity to provide clear program information and analysis aligned with organizational priorities.

Other Requirements:

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong written communication skills in both English and Bangla.
  • Self-motivated, positive, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates a strong “can-do” attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • Committed to organizational aims, values, principles, and policies, with a high level of integrity and responsibility.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, showing persistence in addressing challenges.

Role of Responsibilities:

  • Implement project activities in line with the approved plan and regularly report to the Sr. Manager–DIP and National Office.
  • Prepare and submit monthly activity plans, annual operational plans, and periodic progress reports.
  • Support project planning processes, including log-frame development, indicator selection, and results frameworks.
  • Lead the design and implementation of MEAL systems, tools, and monitoring applications, ensuring donor compliance.
  • Supervise, monitor, and provide technical guidance to project activities at the field level through regular visits.
  • Apply Project Cycle Management tools (Theory of Change, Logical Framework) in planning, monitoring, review, and reporting.
  • Develop Detailed Implementation Plans (DIP), MEAL reports, and consolidated monthly, six-monthly, and annual project reports, including budgets.
  • Develop ToRs and coordinate baseline, mid-term, and end-line surveys, studies, and research activities.
  • Organize and facilitate MEAL trainings, coordination meetings, workshops, and capacity-building initiatives for project staff.
  • Strengthen monitoring capacities of project personnel through coaching, mentoring, manuals, and training materials.
  • Coordinate closely with the Central MEAL team and ensure effective communication among field, regional, and National Offices.
  • Uphold Caritas Bangladesh’s safeguarding, child protection, asset stewardship, teamwork, and professional conduct standards; responsibilities may evolve as required.

Required Languages: Strong written and oral command in English/Bangla is required.

Travel: This position is based in Dhaka with frequent travel throughout Bangladesh. Up to 50% travel to Region/field offices and field as per project reuirement.
