Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices in Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet. CB is implementing 91 projects covering 201 focusing upazila on eight goals i.e i) Social Welfare and Service of Love for Vulnerable Communities; 2) Ecological Conservation, Climate Justice and Sustainable Food System; 3) Humanitarian Response and Disaster Management; 4) Education, Skill Development and Employment Creation; 5) Health Care, Nutrition and Education; 6) Development of Indigenous Peoples; 7) Integral Human Development; and 8) Institutional Development and Sustainability.

Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Sylhet and Dinajpur Region, is seeking qualified candidate for immediate appointment to the position of Reporting, Documentation and Training Officer for USAID Bangladesh America Maitree Project for Rangpur and Sunamganj district.

The details of the position, including job responsibilities, educational qualifications, and the required qualities and competencies, are outlined below for your information:

1. Details of Position:

Position : Reporting, Documentation and Training Officer
No. of Position : 02 (Two), 01 for Rangpur and another 01 for Sunamganj district
Job Location : Caritas Bangladesh, Dinajpur and Sylhet Region
Age : Maximum 45 years (as on 30/11/2024), age may be relaxed for highly experienced person
Reporting to : Regional Program Officer
Salary : BDT 45,000/-(fifty thousand) per month
Bonus  : As per Caritas Bangladesh policy
Job Nature : Contractual/ Temporary

2. Required Educational Qualification and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Statistics/ Economics/ Development Studies/ Social Science or related subject from any recognized university.
  • At least 2 years’ MEL experience with national and International NGOs. USAID-funded project experience will be an added advantage.
  • Data collection, analysis, reporting skills and an experience on provide training.
  • Proficiency in online data collection platforms like KoboTool Box, ODK etc. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office suit and data analysis software including Power BI, SPSS, Stata, and Excel.
  • Experience in knowledge management, including reporting, documentation and sharing of best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and work as part of a dynamic team.
  • Strong command in Bangla & English Language both verbal and written.

3. Roles and Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that monitoring and evaluation tools are aligned with project objectives and donor requirements, allowing for accurate tracking of progress and impact.
  • Establish clear indicators and data collection methods including online platforms like KoboTool Box to ensure comprehensive and relevant data is gathered for analysis.
  • Oversee the collection of both quantitative and qualitative data from field activities, including surveys, focus groups, interviews, and other methodologies.
  • Develop and implement feedback and complaints response mechanisms for collecting and responding to beneficiary feedback and complaints that are appropriate for the program and context.
  • Document best practices and lessons learned from project implementation, and delivering training sessions.
  • He/she has to pay regular field visit to monitor, support the field staffs to follow standard, procedures and processes in implementation
  • He/she will collect impact stories on each activity with good quality of photographs and ensure visibility through disseminating reports, case studies and success stories.
  • Coordinate with project staff to gather relevant data and insights to enrich documentation
  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs as per project requirements.
  • Develop training, manuals, modules, schedules and resources to ensure smooth execution of training events.
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions for various stakeholders including community groups, governments and NGO stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed training reports, including participant feedback and outcome assessments.
  • Ensure collaboration and communication among staff, partners, and communities.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place.
  • Carry out other tasks assigned by the supervisor

4. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

5. Required Languages: Strong written and oral command in English/Bangla is required.
