Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices (Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet Region). CB is implementing 94 on-going projects covering 200 Upazilas focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare for Vulnerable Communities (SWVC), ii) Education and Child Development, iii) Nutrition and Health Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Food Security (ECFS), and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.

Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Cox’s Bazar office is looking for suitable candidate for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for Emergency Response to the Forcibly Displaced People of Myanmar in Bangladesh.

Consolidated Salary    : 50,000 BDT per month

Educational Qualification
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.), Bachelor in social science or relevant subjects from recognized university with good academic track record.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements

• At Least 3 Years working experience in development agency, in similar position.
• Good interpersonal skill, useful in advocacy and positive approaching.
• Experience in a camp or refugee context will be appreciated.
• Knowledge in facilitation techniques.
• Specific skills in theatre, art, music and books will be appreciated.
• Proficiency in Rohingya dialect is preferred.  
• Handling and working with digital tools such as tablets, computers, camera, and tape-recorder.
• Networking and a good relationship with internal and external stakeholders
• Good knowledge in MS Office is mandatory and any other relevant software
• Excellent communication skills and Problem-solving skills
• Ability to formulate IM related technical requirements and operating procedures
• Good Report Writing skill.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Job Responsibilities

• Mobilization of the community in the IDB center, in outdoor space or in shelter.
• Facilitation of different activities incorporating IDB tools and contents.
• Address the project participants’ needs and expectations and contribute to the design of activities and courses.
• In collaboration with Project Coordinator and other facilitators, identify priorities of the month and create the schedule off activities.
• Assist the Project Coordinator in building capacity of IDB volunteers.
• Plan activities, set up the space and welcome users.
• Guide the audience in the use of digital tools and different resources of the Ideas Box.
• Share feedback on contents and activities and suggest improvements.
• Report on implemented activities, collect and share key data on activities/courses.
• Ensure daily management of the box (roll-out, tidying, handling, organization).
• Ensure the security of audience, activities and equipment within the Ideas Box space and during outreach activities.
• Document mediation in the Ideas Box, and share good practices in the Ideas Box community of practice.
• Perform any other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the authority of Caritas Bangladesh.
