Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices (Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet Region). CB is implementing 95 on-going projects covering 200 Upazilas focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare for Vulnerable Communities (SWVC), ii) Education and Child Development, iii) Nutrition and Health Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Food Security (ECFS), and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.

Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is looking for suitable candidate for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for the post of Program Officer (DIP) under Caritas Central Office.

Required Educational Qualification:

• Post-graduation/Master’s degree in a relevant field from any recognized university.

Required Experience:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in development projects focused on monitoring, supervision, and reporting of multi projects.

Required Competencies:

• The candidate should have working experience with Indigenous Peoples (IPs) especially Punjee of Sylhet area, Tea Garden etc. 
• The candidate should have working experience on Development of Cooperative Credit Union (CCUs).
• Strong interpersonal skills and networking skills.
• Strong interpretation and analytical skills.
• Ability to demonstration to work and coordinate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Providing program information and analysis that articulates the organization’s programmatic delivery position in light of internal and external targets, results and priorities.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.

 Other Requirements:

• Should have high level of competence with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, composing English and Bangla etc., is essential.

Role of Responsibilities:

• Formulation of project proposal, concept note, overall planning, project formulation, budgeting.
• Writings, editing and finalization of various progress and fund utilization reports.
• Follow up of the progress of action plan of the assigned Projects and recommend to take measures for improvement.
• Keep Senior Manager (DIP) updated on compliance of donor, NGOAB and Caritas Bangladesh policies and the progress of project interventions.
• Prepare field visit reports, disseminate and share the field findings with the respective project staff members/Regional Office through Senior Manager (DIP) / Director (Programs) to take appropriate measures for further improvement.
• Ensure sound financial management of the assigned projects and compliance with donor, government regulations and practices of assigned projects’ budgets.
• Prepare regular correspondence for donors, government, regional, trust, and project offices of Caritas as per need and instructed by Senior Manager (DIP).
• Accompany donor, donor’s representative and Govt./NGO representative for project visit of Caritas, when necessary under the guidance of Senior Manager (DIP).

Required Languages: Strong written and oral command in English/Bangla is required.

Travel: This position is based in Dhaka with frequent travel throughout Bangladesh. Up to 50% travel to Region/field offices and field.
