Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices (Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet Region). CB is implementing 89 on-going projects covering 189 Upazilas focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare for Vulnerable Communities (SWVC), ii) Education and Child Development, iii) Nutrition and Health Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Food Security (ECFS), and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.
Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Cox’s Bazar office is looking for suitable candidate for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for Emergency Response to the Forcibly Displaced People of Myanmar in Bangladesh.

Educational Qualification
The qualified candidate will have a master’s degree in Statistics/ Urban & Regional Planning/ Development Studies or other relevant social science from recognized university with good academic track record.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
- At Least 3 Years working experience in development agency, in similar position.
- Good interpersonal skill, useful in advocacy and positive approaching.
- Networking and a good relationship with everyone
- Good knowledge in MS Project and excellent in Microsoft excel formulas and data analysis, MS Office is mandatory and any other relevant software
- Excellent communication skills and Problem-solving skills
- Ability to formulate IM related technical requirements and operating procedures
- Good Report Writing skill.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the RRRC and his staff to better manage WASH programming at camps level through detailed WASH partners monitoring, data collection and gap analysis.
- Support the DRRO and his staff to better manage WASH programming at camps level through a programme of capacity building of CIC staff and WASH implementing partners. This will be delivered with the support of WASH Sector.
- Improve the coordination of the WASH response at Cox’s bazar level including effective emergency service provision.
- Ensure national and WASH sector standards and policies (including gender and environment) are maintained at camp level through monitoring and training
- To ensure national and WASH Sector policy and standards are adhered to by monitoring the activities of CFPs in the camps and where necessary provide support to CFPs,
- Ensure dissemination of WASH sector standards and RRRC policy and guidance through its network of CFPs,
- To ensure that the DRRO and its staff are fully aware of and trained in all WASH sector standards, plans and policy,
- Organize any join field trips with local authorities and WASH stakeholders
- To coordinate and lead all CFPs on the ground to implement the emergency WASH response plan in the event of disease outbreak, landslide, floods, monsoon and other emergency occurrences
- The WFPC will be the linkage between RRRC and the WASH sector and between field operations and coordination at Cox’s bazar level
- The WFPC will support the DRRO for taking part of the WASH Sector coordination at Cox’s bazar level and to engage with other wash stakeholders,
- To liaise with the WASH coordinators of humanitarian agencies at Cox’s Bazar level,
- To coordinate and assist in the development and timely submission of annual and updated workplans as well as delivery plans for all WASH partners,
- Advocate with the DRRO for implementation of the SDG 6, including household WASH facilities for elders and People with disabilities
- Actively work with Site Management partners to advocate for more land resources for construction of deficit WASH infrastructure, including solid waste facilities, latrines and bathing spaces.
- Work with Site Management partners to advocate for the development and enforcement of WASH related by-laws including the improper disposal of solid waste, the construction of shallow tube-wells and the construction of unsafe in-house bathing facilities.
- Provide advice to all WASH actors on site safety and security issues (especially in times of COVID or AWD outbreaks)
- Attend WASH sector meetings at Cox’s bazar. This meeting will be organized and chaired by the WSC.
- Once a month the WFPC will organize and chair / co-chair a WASH sector CFPs coordination meeting in Cox’s Bazar, on-line or at any other location,
- To organize / support any ad hoc WASH meetings requested by DRRO and report these meetings to the participants,
- The WFPC will be expected to deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as well as annual reports relating to JRP planning and monitoring. All reports should be cleared with the DRRO before submission to the WASH Sector
