URGENT EMPLOYMENT NOTICE

Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices (Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet Region). CB is implementing 89 on-going projects covering 189 Upazilas focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare for Vulnerable Communities (SWVC), ii) Education and Child Development, iii) Nutrition and Health Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Food Security (ECFS), and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.

Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Cox’s Bazar office is looking for suitable candidate for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for Emergency Response to the Forcibly Displaced People of Myanmar in Bangladesh.

Details of Position

Position : Information Management Officer (IMO)
No of Position : 7 (Seven)
Age : Maximum 40 years (as on 28.2.2022)
Job Location : Cox's Bazar
Salary : BDT 72,000 (Consolidated) per month.
Bonus : As per organizational policy
Job Nature : Temporary

Educational Qualification

The qualified candidate will have a master’s degree in Information Technology/ International Development/ Demography / Statistics / Urban & Regional Planning / Development Studies or other relevant social science from recognized university with good academic track record.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements

  • At Least 4 Years working experience in development agency, NGO.
  • Good interpersonal skill, useful in advocacy and positive approaching.
  • Networking and a good relationship with everyone
  • Good knowledge in MS Project and excellent in Microsoft excel formulas and data analysis, MS Office is mandatory and any other relevant software
  • Excellent communication skills and Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to formulate IM related technical requirements and operating procedures
  • Good Report Writing skill.
  • Experience in data collection through KOBO software and other relent software.

Job Responsibilities

  • Information Management
  • Implement and regularly update the information Management Strategy and the Disseminate all information management related products to the management and relevant sectors.
  • Develop and update data collection apps or forms to ensure high quality data collection.
  • Provide Practical training for data enumerators and supervisors.
  • Develop organizational capacity for multimedia and information alerting usage.
  • Collect disseminate all kid of information management related products produced by relevant cluster, UN agencies and other agency.
  • Design necessary data collection forms, ensuring that the purpose and use of data collected is clear and that questions are simple, clear and collectable.
  • Conduct needs and gap identification for the relevant sector based on the data collected.
  • Develop an information sharing platform as a web portal.
  • Perform advisory and technical assignments in the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Organize and maintain GIS data of all WASH facilities in accordance with the relevant data management protocols.
  • Update 4W matrix with collect information and data from field.
  • Identify appropriate secondary data and information resources.
  • Identify and address information management gaps and facilitate information sharing between field and project offices through the organizational communication system.
  • Provide emergency response information support to the management.
  • Provide information management services to support monitoring activities within the working refugee camp.
  • Participate in cluster and inter cluster meeting representing the deploying organization and provide the necessary support in presenting the relevant data and information.
  • Produce case studies, best practices, field experience, newsletter, e-bulletins and other advocacy materials.
