Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices in Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet. Caritas is implementing  112 on-going projects covering 187 focusing upazila on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare for Vulnerable Communities, ii) Education and Child Development, iii) Nutrition and Health Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Food Security (ECFS), and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.

Caritas Bangladesh, supported by Caritas Denmark and CAFOD (alongside potentially additional Caritas MOs), will undertake a research study to draw learning from the experience of both Caritas Bangladesh and a wider range of national and international actors in the country on the Humanitarian/Development Nexus. Caritas Bangladesh invites Request for Proposal (RfP) from the qualified national or international firms/individuals for conducting a research study on ‘A localisation perspective on the Humanitarian / Development Nexus in the context of Climate Change related Hazards, Risk, Vulnerabilities, Resilience, Anticipatory Action and Emergency Response’. The qualified consulting firms/individuals having the experience of conducting the evaluation of similar nature of project are encouraged to participate in this RfP.
