Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. Caritas Bangladesh has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional (or Diocesan) Offices in Barisal, Chittagong, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet. Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is looking for a suitable candidate (men and women) for the position of Admin. & Finance Officer for USAID’s Improving Nutrition through Community-based Approaches (INCA) Activity. This is a three years Project beginning from 15 May, 2017 which aims to address the high levels of stunting and malnutrition in 11 selected upazila under the districts of Bhola, Laxmipur and Noakhali. The specific objective of this activity is to improve nutritional practices during the first thousand days of life to prevent irreversible stunting.

Details of Positions with Job Responsibility and Required Educational Qualification
1) Position: Admin & Finance Officer
Job Nature: Contractual (up to the project period on 14 May, 2020)
Number of Position: One (1)
Educational Qualification: M. Com/ MBA preferably with Honors in Accounting/ Finance/Management from any recognized University.
Responsibility: The Admin. & Finance Officer will maintain/keep accounts and work for financial and administrative management of the project in compliance with the financial and operations related policies and procedures of the organization and USAID’s policy.
Consolidated Salary: Tk. 25,000/- per month which is renewable on yearly basis and two bonuses @ 50% of consolidated salary per year.
Job location: Charfasson Upazila Office under Bhola District.
Required Experience and Competencies
- Minimum three years of hands on experience in the similar job .
- Experience in maintaining accounts and financial reporting of projects funded by USAID/ institutional donor/foundation shall be an added value.
- Knowledge on computerized accounting system, ICT particularly on MS Excel, MS Word (both Bangla & English), etc., is essential. Capable to operate Tally-Accounting Software will be an added qualification.
- Must be capable of handling and managing Accounts, Audit, VAT, Project Costs, Income Tax matters, etc.
- Capable of in preparation of budgets, budgetary control and financial reports.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with partners/beneficiaries to ensure compliance
- Willingness to travel to project areas to ensure the implementation of the accounting practices and policies, purchasing practice, vendors, assets, petty cash spending, waste, possible fraud, and other identified function understanding the management concern, etc.
- Experiences in administrative support, preparing timesheet, activity and financial report and statements, support in organizing meeting and events.
- Must be familiar with donor's reporting and documentation standard and procedure.
- Should be self driven and positive to work in a team.
- Should have “can do’ attitude and able to handle multiple tasks managing priorities.
- Committed to work following organizational aims, values, principal and policies.
- Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
- Experiences in working with USAID project add value.
