Position Title: Training Specialist - Safeguarding & PSHEA (Protection from Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse) under HRD&M Department

Duration: Duration of the Contract will be for two (02) years (with high possibility of extension)

The Training Specialist will conduct training on Safeguarding/PSHEA for internal staff and external organizations. S/he will continuously develop skills as a trainer, develop and execute training modules, apply innovative techniques, create and promote training packages and seek out new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate must be someone who is gender sensitive, embraces diversity and respects differences without judgment, and builds rapport quickly. S/he should be confident, a critical thinker, good organizer and negotiator, able to work independently, and technology-savvy.

II.  Responsibilities and Tasks:

Responsibility # 1: Conduct Training on Safeguarding and PSHEA (Protection from Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse) for internal staff and external organizations


  • Provide year-round training to staff, partners and volunteers in Bangla to raise awareness of the organization’s Safeguarding/PSHEA measures including the Code of Conduct at all field locations where CARE Bangladesh operates.
  • Constantly update and review existing training modules for relevance and effectiveness
  • Create innovative training modules using new techniques.
  • Develop yearly training plan in accordance with projects/field offices and continuously monitor progress.
  • Conduct training sessions at the community level for our project participants so that CARE’s impact population is aware of the organization’s measures to handle incidents of sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse and Code of Conduct, and of their right to protection including how they would raise a concern about Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA).


Responsibility # 2: Data management, documentation and budgeting


  • Maintain a database of all training / workshops for regularly updating management.
  • Prepare and document all training related information and materials.
  • Design training packages for external clients in consultation with in-house (Communications/other management) and external resources.
  • Support preparation of training budget in line with management and relevant teams.
  • Post photos, videos and updates of training/workshops on social media like Workplace and prepare content for Communications team.
  • Draft post-training and workshop reports to evaluate effectiveness of training programs.
  • Support supervisor in disciplinary cases, drafting summary reports in English and Bangla and prepare official letters in Bangla.
  • Maintain training modules and resources from CARE’s internal networks and other resources.


Responsibility # 3: Network building with external organizations to promote training packages


  • Continuously research and network with external organizations to find out new business opportunities.
  • Promote training packages on different channels like social media and other professional platforms.

IV. Working Condition:  

Based in CARE-Bangladesh Dhaka office with more than 50% field travel and travel to external organizations to conduct training.

  • Qualification:
  • 5 to 6 years’ experience in training and development in a humanitarian/NGO setting.
  • Masters or advanced degree in relevant subject area.
  • Familiarity with Safeguarding/PSHEA and understanding of the international context in which these issue impacts the humanitarian/NGO sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering successful training sessions, facilitating meetings as well as developing and implementing organizational procedures and protocols.
  • Demonstrated success influencing decision-makers without formal authority.
  • Able to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced multi-tasking team environment;
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and presentation skills in Bangla and English.
  • Strong computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom/Skype and email/internet software.
