Scope of Work:
The Program Associate will play a vital role to support the Director of Women and Youth Department by assisting with planning, coordination, follow-ups, and preparation of strategic documents and presentations. This includes managing competing priorities, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and supporting decision-making processes through organized and accurate information. He/She provides continuous technical and research support to the Women and Youth Program Unit by contributing to concept notes, background papers, briefing notes, and analytical documents. This includes conducting desk research on gender, youth, women’s leadership, digital safety, climate justice, and related thematic areas to inform program design, advocacy, and donor engagement. The role supports evidence-based programming by synthesizing data, aligning content with organizational priorities, and ensuring contextual relevance within Bangladesh. |

Responsibility # 1: Program Planning, Research, and Technical Support |

- The Program Associate provides continuous technical and research support to the Women and Youth Program Unit by contributing to concept notes, background papers, briefing notes, and analytical documents.
- Conducting desk research on gender, youth, women’s leadership, digital safety, climate justice, and related thematic areas to inform program design, advocacy, and donor engagement.
- The role supports evidence-based programming by synthesizing data, aligning content with organizational priorities, and ensuring contextual relevance within Bangladesh.

Responsibility # 2: Stakeholder Coordination and Cross-Team Engagement |

- The Program Associate actively coordinates with internal teams, partner organizations, consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth program implementation and communication.
- Scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, drafting minutes, following up on action points, and supporting collaboration across departments.
- The role strengthens cross-sectoral coordination by acting as a communication bridge between program, communications, and management teams.

Responsibility # 3: Communications, Advocacy, and Visibility Support |

- Beyond documentation, the Program Associate contributes to advocacy and communications efforts by supporting content development for campaigns, events, podcasts, and public engagements.
- Drafting briefs, talking points, captions, and background notes, as well as supporting digital engagement and knowledge dissemination.
- The role ensures that program outcomes, learning, and impact are effectively communicated to internal and external audiences.

Responsibility # 4: Monitoring, Learning, and Knowledge Sharing |

- The Program Associate contributes to program learning by supporting monitoring documentation, capturing lessons learned, and organizing knowledge products such as case studies, success stories, and learning notes.
- This responsibility supports institutional memory and strengthens adaptive programming by ensuring learning is documented and shared systematically.

Responsibility # 5: Strategic and Management Support to the Director |

- The Program Associate provides direct support to the Director, Women and Youth Program Unit, by assisting with planning, coordination, follow-ups, and preparation of strategic documents and presentations.
- Managing competing priorities, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and supporting decision-making processes through organized and accurate information.
- Supports proposal development and resource mobilization efforts by contributing to concept notes, full proposals, and budget narratives in coordination with program and partnership teams.
- Conducting background research, drafting and editing technical sections, aligning proposals with donor priorities, and ensuring consistency with CARE’s strategic frameworks and gender-transformative approaches.

General Responsibilities on Safety and Security, and Safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults |

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, English, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in documentation, translation, or similar roles within development or humanitarian sectors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Bangla and English.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality written documents and translations under tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a diverse team.
- Skills in desktop publishing or graphic editing tools will be considered an added advantage.
- Commitment to the values and principles of women's leadership and rights-based programming.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document formatting tools.
- Experience in gender, humanitarian, or community-led programs is a strong asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
- Excellent coordination and follow-up skills to ensure timely completion of action points
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with senior management, teams, and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support informed decision-making
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Professional confidentiality and discretion, especially when supporting senior leadership
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle pressure with professionalism

Compensation
Monthly consolidated salary: BDT. 59,910.00
