Position Title: Program Associate – Knowledge Management

The Program Associate: Knowledge Management will directly report to KML Coordinator, Humanitarian and Climate Action Program and will assist in the smooth implementation of program activities by capturing case stories, taking quality photographs, developing attractive video documentation, achieving developed materials, organizing events, collecting and presenting data, program reporting as well as support in program logistic and administrative activities. The position is expected to add value to the quality implementation of project activities with proper visibility and also improve self-exposure and expertise in the areas of knowledge management and learning.

II. Responsibilities and Tasks:

Responsibility # 1: Reporting and Documentation
20%
  •  Assist the KML Coordinator in drafting, and reviewing project reports and updates
  •  Systematic documentation of project reports, updates, knowledge materials, etc.
  •  Assist the KML Coordinator and other colleagues in data arrangement and analysis
 
Responsibility # 2: Knowledge Management and Learning
30%
  • Work with the project team to capture and document impact stories
  • Develop infographics, maps, and databases for wider community sharing
  • Develop Information, Education, and Communication (IEC)/Behavioral Change Communication materials
 
Responsibility # 3: Photography and Video-documentation
30%
  • Scriptwriting for video-documentary and storybook
  • Regular field visits to capture learnings through human stories, photography, and videography
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting audio, video, and lighting equipment
  • Operating software to control AV technologies
  • Closely work with the CARE Strategic Communication Unit to ensure visibility and branding
 
Responsibility # 4: Event Management
20%
  •  Support the KML Coordinator in organizing Workshops, Training, Orientation, etc.
  •  Develop presentations, display materials, training modules, etc.
  • Draft event report and meeting minutes
  • Closely work with the Manager of Finance & Administration for logistics preparation and bookkeeping
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including exhibitors, vendors, partners, and donors to align event details with technical capabilities
 
Responsibility: Responsibilities on Safety and Security, Gender and Inclusion and Safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults

Based at CARE Bangladesh Dhaka Office with required field visits
V. Qualification:
  • Required Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management, Geography, Social Science, or a related field from a reputed University, Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience of 1-2 year in DRR related and climate action project is preferred.  
  • Experience requirement is flexible for person with expertise in video editing, content creation and photography using modern equipment and software. Sound knowledge of cameras and lighting techniques.
  • Communication and networking with multi-sectoral actors.
  • Story writing and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of multimedia production software and editing equipment
  • Good report writing in both Bangla and English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Internet browsing is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive attitude, creativity, and willingness to contribute ideas and initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
