Location: Selected Unions of Sarankhola (Dhansagar, Rayenda, Southkhali, Khontakata) & Morelganj Upazila (Morelganj Sadar, Nishanbaria, Jeodhara, Baroikhali, Khaolia, Baharbunia) under Bagerhat District
Duration: Duration of the contract will be up to March 31, 2025.

The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has selected a CARE Bangladesh led consortium to implement the project titled ‘Nature Based Adaptation towards Prosperous and Adept Lives & Livelihoods in Bangladesh (NABAPALLAB/ নবপল্লব)’ in two Ecologically Critical Areas (ECA) – Sundarbans and Hakaluki Haor. The other consortium members are CNRS, Cordaid, C3ER-BRAC University, Dushtha Shasthya Kendra (DSK), Friendship, Humanity&Inclusion (HI), iDE, and Practical Action.
FCDO’s NABAPALLAB aims to engage biodiversity and natural resource-dependent communities to strengthen the climate resilience of the ECAs, conserve biodiversity, and at the same time, diversify and improve people's livelihood through innovative nature-based (NBS) and locally led adaptation solutions in the districts of Bagerhat, Sathkhira and Khulna in the Sundarbans ECA, and Maulvibazar and Sylhet in Hakaluki Haor.
The principal purpose of the Community Supervisor position is to mobilize the target communities & beneficiaries and implement the project activities at the community level. He/she will work under the supervision of the Community Mobilization Facilitator. |
II. Responsibilities and Tasks: |
- Select the target beneficiaries following the selection criteria and beneficiary registration online.
- Organize community consultation meetings and court-yard sessions regularly.
- Coordinate with LGI and communities.
- Group formation, group leader selection, regular mobilization of beneficiary groups.
- Input distribution among the selected beneficiary groups.
- Regularly follow up with the beneficiary groups for livelihood activities such as homestead agriculture, aquaculture, livestock activities/demonstrations, VSLA formation, weather information services, and other technical assistance.
- Data collection and entry for several studies or surveys.
- Assist in arranging meetings at the ward and union level to orient the project activities.
- Maintain Register and meeting resolution.
- Assist in need assessment, especially livelihood-related needs at the field level along with GPS data.
- Assist in the conduction of CVCA and LLAP development at ward level.
- Assist in distribution of the income-generating and livelihoods-related asset transfer to the target households and monitor the achievements.

III. Adhere to and support CARE Bangladesh’s Safety and Security policy and systems |
As part of this role, the job holder is expected to adhere to and support CARE Bangladesh’s Safety and Security policy and systems as part of their day-to-day duties, and comply, always, to safety & security protocols and directives, including reporting. Staff must maintain situational and self–awareness and be aware of the safety – security-related consequences of their actions upon themselves, their team, and the organization. |

VI. Working Condition: |
This position will be based at the union level of the project operation area in Sarankhola and Morelganj upazila under Bagerhat district. 100% of the time will be spent on the field/community. |
VII. Qualification: |
- Minimum Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC).
- Minimum 01 years of working experience in development organizations as a frontline position like Volunteer/Community Mobilizer, etc.
- Candidates who have disaster management and livelihoods-related working experience in Bagherhat, and residents of base location or adjacent areas will get preference.
- Experience in asset-based livelihood development for vulnerable households.
- Experience working within the NGO context at the community level.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal professional relation development skills, problem-solving skills, and cooperation mentality.
- Good understanding of gender equity and inclusion.
- Written communication skills in the local language, Bangla.
- Communication skills with the stakeholders, especially beneficiaries and local-level entrepreneurs.
- Ensure and Promote GEDI and be GEDI sensitive, creating an enabling environment where diversity can flourish and all staff and stakeholders experience inclusion and appreciation.

Compensation
Monthly consolidated salary BDT 16,200 will be offered to deserving candidate. Travel allowances, mobile bill and internet allowances will also be provided.
