Position Title: Office Helper

Position: 1

Location: Moheshkhali  Field Office under CARE Cox’s Bazar Regional Office.

Duration: Duration of the Contract will be up to August 31, 2023 with possibility of extension.

I. Job Summary:

II.         Responsibilities and Tasks:

Responsibility # 1: Cleaning of Office building:

30%

  • Sweep the office floor/building, stairs, meeting room, kitchen, driver’s room, and outer office space every day & as and when required;
  • Keep tidy all office furniture, fixture, and equipment every day;
  • Ensure the cleanliness and proper usability of all washrooms, including guards one;
  • Ensure the regular washing of curtains, towels, and sofa covers;
  • Keep all documents and materials in all rooms orderly;
  • Other works as required by supervisor for smooth functioning of office.

 

Responsibility # 2:  Photocopy machine operating and maintenance.

20%

  • Assist all in copying various documents;
  • Operate photocopy machine as and when required;
  • Attention to supervisor if photocopy more than 100 copies at a time;
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the photocopy machine and inform supervisor in case of any disturbance.

 

Responsibility # 3: Mailing/posting of letters.

  • Regular checking of mailboxes of different offices and posting/dispatching the letter through post office/courier;
  • Dispatch IN/OUT tray at regular intervals.

 

Responsibility # 4: Logistic Support:

30%

  • Training room set up as per requirement;
  • Provide snacks and lunch in meetings/training as per requirement;
  • Assist ASO, s (Petty Cashier) in banking and bill voucher sorting, filling etc.;
  • Submit the bill/voucher to finance through maintain the register;
  • Help loading and unloading of Office material & equipment;
  • Look after room wise lighting system;
  • Assist supervisor/AO/ASOs in procurement for official purpose;
  • Look after water filter and ensure water available in filter;
  • Submit the requirement of Tea materials and cleaning items to supervisor in due time.

 

Responsibility # 5: Tea preparation and distribution

15%

  • Prepare tea and serve it timely.
  • Keep the tearoom clean and utensils as required.
  • Keep track of tea materials and utensils.
  • Ensure an optimum hygienic environment at the time of tea preparation and serving.
  • Any missing items must be immediately reported to supervisor.

 

Responsibility # 6: Adhere to and support CARE Bangladesh’s Safety and Security policy and systems

As part of this role, the job holder will be expected to adhere to and support CARE Bangladesh’s Safety and Security policy and systems as part of their day-to-day duties, and comply, at all times, to safety & security protocols and directives, including reporting. Staff must maintain situational and self – awareness and be aware of the safety – security related consequences of their actions upon themselves, their team, and the organization as a whole.

IV.        Working Conditions:  

Office Helper will mainly be responsible to perform in auxiliary jobs for the smooth operation of logistic service. He/She should be ready to work with any kind of situation as and when required and perform other works as required by supervisor for smooth functioning of office activities.

  • Qualification:  

SSC/class pass
S/he should be able to work in demanding situation, as and when required.
