CARE Bangladesh, a non-profit international development organization, strives for achieving dignified work for all women across different sectors. Collective Impact on Future of Work in Bangladesh under the dignified work program is funded by H&M Foundation envisions to economically empower women by creating decent work and ensuring a life of dignity. It specifically aims to enhance skills, leadership, and collective action of female workers in RMG and informal sector for greater security of life and livelihoods, increase resilience of women workers and their communities to adapt to and recover from COVID-19 related impact on life and essential services and increase responsiveness of institutions to address impact of COVID-19 and gender equality in the world of work.

CARE seeks a Training Officer - Factory for above Collective Impact on Future of Work in Bangladesh Project to contribute the area of providing training in the factory of the project of Women and Girls Empowerment Program in promoting decent and dignified works. Training Officer – Training in Factory will be responsible for organizing and conducting training and support to improve quality of training which will provide by the Project partners. S/he will be delivering training, and implementing project training plans in close participation with factory and partners. S/he will ensure quality of training programs by providing coaching, mentoring support. The incumbent will also provide necessary support to partner’s trainers and CARE project team for ensuring progress and quality monitoring systems for the project. S/He will maintain liaison with factory management, partner NGO, government and other relevant stakeholders.

Responsibility # 1: Training Organization and Facilitation

  • Assist TC-Capacity Building and Gender Mainstreaming in implementing training programs
  • Conduct training for management and supervisor training
  • Review and Prepare Training Curriculum
  • Prepare training report, participants profile, data input case study and pretest and posttest.
  • Ensure effective training session focus on project activities.
  • Responsible to do any task assign by project management.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring support to trainers
  • Maintain all finance related documents related to training as per policy

 

Responsibility # 2: Monitoring and Documentation

30%

  • Coordinate with Trainers on other activities of the project Support in conducting pre and post assessment of training
  • Consolidate data and prepare reports in computer
  • Communicate and write documents related to the project when necessary for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support to prepare project level learning, weekly, quarterly and monthly activity report to share with the internal and external stakeholders.

 

 

Responsibility # 3: Support in implementing Aspiration Workshop, Management Package and linkage with career advancement opportunities

20%

  • Develop follow up plan based on analysis of aspiration planning workshops
  • Strategize and implement follow up plans in collaboration with factory management and trainers
  • Identify key capacity building resource organizations for workers’ career advancement
  • Make plans of linkage with resource organizations and follow up implementation plan
  • Organize meetings with factory management and resource organizations as and when necessary

 

Responsibility # 4: Adhere to and support CARE Bangladesh’s Safety and Security policy and systems

 

As part of this role, the job holder will be expected to adhere to and support CARE Bangladesh’s Safety and Security policy and systems as part of their day to day duties, and comply, at all times, to safety & security protocols and directives, including reporting. Staff must maintain situational and self – awareness and be aware of the safety – security related consequences of their actions upon themselves, their team and the organization as a whole.

III.           Reporting:

Training Officer for Factory will report directly to TC- Capacity Building and Gender Mainstreaming

IV.          Working Condition:

This is a Gazipur field-based position and will require the incumbent to visit the working areas under this project.

V.            Qualification:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in designing and conducting training or development interventions with capacity building inputs
  • Masters/Bachelor in social science or equivalent subjects.
  • Ability to team building and can perform well under pressure.
  • Knowledgeable on RMG sector
  • Strong facilitation background including participatory planning, organizing and community mobilization.
  • Ability to team building and can perform well under pressure.
  • Ability to coordinate with project partners, counterparts and other stakeholders.
  • Good communication skill in both verbal and written in Bangla and English.
  • Good understanding on Gender
