About the Role

We are seeking to recruit a senior Gender Equality and Social Inclusion professional to the role of Programme Manager to lead and manage a portfolio of programmes, projects and partners within Bangladesh.  Ensure effective design and management including financial management, programmes and appropriate support for partners.  Recommend projects to partners and engage with communications and fundraising including from institutional donors.  Ensure a strong link exists between our programme and policy influencing and advocacy. Provide representation for the programme and on country issues

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to be quick, approachable and adaptable. You will demonstrate an appreciation of organizational corporate objectives and be adaptable to organizational culture. You will also possess demonstrable experience in providing excellent hands-on operational and strategic needs on a timely basis to meet business needs and openness to learning.

You are in possession of a Masters’s degree in a development-related subject or equivalent. Knowledge of development issues in the context of Bangladesh, of programme management tools and techniques, including financial management tools, capacity-building tools and techniques. Substantial, at least 7 years of experience in international development programme management, including management of back donor-funded projects, and field-based management.  Experience in the gender and inclusion sector and in partner support and capacity building
