About BYLC: Established in 2009, BYLC (https://bylc.org )-the country's first leadership
institute—builds leadership, employability, and entrepreneurship skills in youth from diverse
backgrounds, nurtures their values of integrity, respect and empathy, and connects them to jobs
and business opportunities. Its aim to develop compassionate, competent and courageous leaders,
BYLC envisions that these youth will have a high impact in public, private and civil sectors and
demonstrate proactive actions for positive socio-economic and environmental changes.
Major Responsibilities (detailed Job Description available for candidates shortlisted for interview)
- Implement organizational vision, mission, goals, values, strategies, policies, plans and
guidelines for organizational and institutional development, growth and sustainability
- Strengthen credibility, goodwill and leadership of BYLC nationally and internationally
- Ensure effectiveness, efficiency, value for money and compliance in BYLC’s operations
(HR, Admin, IT etc.) and program management
- Establish a lean management by automation and digitization of BYLC’s program
management and business processes
- Ensure quality assurance, knowledge management and growth of plans and programs
through efficient M&E, and learning mechanisms
- Achieve excellence in donor-supported project delivery
- Establish business growth mechanisms for BYLC’s sustainability
- Strengthen partnerships with existing and potential stakeholders
- Support the Executive Director in Board and governance related interventions, and
co-lead in program and operational, management as and when necessary
1. Qualifications
2. a Education
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Consideration may be given to candidates with substantial experience.
2. b Experience
- At least 15 years of relevant professional experience including at least 8 years in similar senior
management role in a large development organization
2. c Demonstrated Excellence in
- Management and leadership
- Driving for results and innovations
- Operations, financial and program management, including Project Cycle Management
- Business development, fundraising, marketing, branding and revenue generation
- Advanced ICT skills including G-Suite
- Written and oral communication skills, both in Bangla and English
- People management and team-building
- 21st Century Soft Skills
- Networking, partnership development, marketing and negotiation skills
- Championing social inclusion, equity, equality, social justice and environment protection
The candidate must be highly motivated and committed to Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC)’s
values (integrity, respect towards others, empathy, excellence in everything we do, practice adaptive
leadership, continuous development), vision, mission, and goals.
2. Location: Head Office, Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) Dhaka Office
3. Duration: 3 years
4. Compensation: Attractive remuneration package, festival bonus, medical benefit, etc.
5. Age limit: 50 years
