Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), the country's first leadership institute, exists to build connections among youth from diverse backgrounds, equip them with leadership skills, and enable them to have high impact in public, private, and civil sectors. All of BYLC’s efforts aim to strengthen prosperity, justice, and inclusiveness in societies worldwide. BYLC’s unique approach to youth development includes: (a) uniting students from English medium, Bangla medium, and Madrassas through a rigorous admission process; (b) using experiential teaching methods to build leadership competencies in students; and (c) creating a platform for students to translate their learning into action through service projects.

Purpose:

The Executive, Procurement, Admin, and Inventory Management will be responsible for overseeing the purchases, fulfilling the admin role and taking charge of the inventory.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist to update fruitful procurement strategies with policies and work on developing standardize procurement system
  • Responsible for procurement of BYLC Dhaka and Chattogram office 
  • Maintain the procurement process and policy to run BYLC programs smoothly
  • Maintain relationship with vendors
  • Coordinate with concerned department and ensure smooth delivery of program materials according to the team’s need
  • Prepare and execute procurement plan for uninterrupted availability of the said items
  • Process bills of the suppliers against the purchased order
  • Maintain stock and produce report time to time
  • Any other jobs assigned by the supervisor

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education:

A Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field from an accredited university

Experience:

More than 1 year of relevant experience

Skills:

  • Organized and systematic way of working with high attention to details
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for improving the professional lives of the youth
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bangla
  • Good understanding of the social entrepreneurship ecosystem
  • Personal qualities should include excellent presentation skills, creativity, integrity, commitment to public service, independent thinker, and team player
