BYLC’s unique approach to youth development includes: (a) uniting students from English medium, Bangla medium, and Madrassas through a rigorous admission process; (b) using experiential teaching methods to build leadership competencies in students; and (c) creating a platform for students to translate their learning into action through service projects.

Purpose:

The admissions team makes sure that BYLC gets the right candidates who don’t only have the potential and diversity but also the zeal to make their life worth something for the nation. This job combines the roles of Operations, HR, and Marketing, and Administration. The Deputy Manager, Admissions is responsible for planning, organizing, maintaining, and managing the processes and operations of admission and registration services for all of BYLC’s leadership programs.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, maintain, and manage the processes and operations of admission and registration services
  • Develop strategies, recommend, organize, and administer BYLC’s policies and procedures pertaining to the admissions and registration of all students
  • Develop communication plan for admissions and registration of students
  • Maintain regular communications and provide necessary information to BYLC alumni, present students, potential candidates, guardians, educational institutions, and other relevant stakeholders through email, phone, and physical interaction
  • Collect and analyze a variety of complex data and information regarding admissions, registration, online processes, telephone helpline, and direct services
  • Oversee the documentation, security, and confidentiality of student records
  • Present admissions and registration information to a variety of audiences
  • Collaborate with staff, faculty, administrators, and internal departments to research and resolve complex student issues relating to admission, dual enrollment, registration, cancellations, and refunds
  • Research and diagnose issues from a “systems” perspective and design strategies to resolve admissions and registration system
  • Publish the schedule of admissions and registration dates and times
  • Establish and maintain an annual calendar of admissions and registration events and track progress
  • Conduct research to make evidence-based improvements to current methods of on-campus and online leadership courses
  • Teach and facilitate in the leadership development programs
  • Assist in planning and designing curriculum for the leadership programs
  • Prepare guidelines and schedule for leadership sessions, activities, and small group discussions 
  • Supervise and monitor the work and performance of participants during the training programs
  • Facilitate community service projects
  • Ensure documentation of all training related activities
  • Conduct workshops and presentations on leadership in different schools, colleges and universities across the country
  • Serve in the Admissions of committee of different BYLC programs.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education:

Graduate in Human Resource Management or any relevant field

Experience:

  • 3 years’ relevant experience in any educational institute’s admissions process would be an added advantage
  • Experience in analyzing qualitative and quantitative data
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills

Skills:

  • Organized and systematic way of working with high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in developing and maintaining database using MS excel and/or MS access
  • Proficient in both English and Bangla
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in reporting
