BURO Bangladesh is currently the 3rd largest national-level NGO MFI that has been working since 1990 for the socio-economic development of the marginal people of Bangladesh. It provides high quality flexible financial and social services to 2.3 million low-income people, particularly poor women. We are looking for a competent, dynamic and self-motivated proactive individual for the following position:
Post: Head of Training

Department.: Human Resource Development (Training)

Salary:  Negotiable.

Job Responsibilities

To assist in preparing the yearly training calendar, training budget & rolling, training venue management, logistical support, pre-training, and post-training evaluation.

  • To assist in conducting and coordinating all the soft skill training.
  • To assist in preparing new training modules & keep improving according to identified areas of improvement.
  • To coordinate pre & post-assessment tests and prepare the summary report.
  • To develop and maintains organizational communications techniques.
  • To monitor & facilitate 'Orientation' sessions and arrange on-the-job training as well as off-the-job training.
  • Collect information from management, and Head of Departments regarding the effectiveness of completed training courses and frequently seek to improve.
  • To find out the development area in the training materials, the evaluation system also follows the training matrix.
  • To initiate different employee engagement programs to create an inspiring work environment.
  • To maintain the employee training database/MIS up-to-date and assist in preparing reports to ensure ROTI (Return on Training Investment).
  • To assist in performing effective training, and identifying the gap through market surveys and feedback.
  • Conduct Training Needs Assessment (TNA), design, facilitate & conduct training & development programs.
  • Ensure trainees are progressing through the training program appropriately.
  • Create processes for accurate reporting of training program compliance and effectiveness.
  • Train associates on the applicable subject matter through the effective application utilizing one-on-one, on-the-job, and classroom settings as appropriate.
  • Gather and compile technical, procedural, and process-related information into usable training materials.
  • Leadership (ability to lead and inspire diverse teams).
  • Flexible and adaptable with good interpersonal skills and a ‘can-do’ approach.
  • Coach, train, mentor staff, and organize pieces of training to elevate their knowledge and understanding of the issue of gender, diversity, and disability inclusion.
  • To assist in developing CHRD activities & performances.
  • Any other task assigned by supervisor/management.

Employment Status: Full-time-Contractual

Educational Requirements

  • Master’s degree/ MBA/MBS with requisite monitoring, evaluation & research experience in education, Social Sciences such as Development studies, Public Policy, Economic, or a related field, and/or specialized training certification or professional degree in relevant subject will be of added advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):  HR Operations, Training Facilitation, Training need analysis
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in the development sector with a minimum of 6 years in a senior management Training related position.

Additional Requirements

  • Age 35 to 45 years
  • Proven strong foundation & knowledge of principles & practices of training.
  • Proficient with training methods, techniques & tools.
  • Team Player, Multitasking, Strong Analytical Skill, Quick Learner.
  • Tech Savvy, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office along with other software.
  • Understanding Training related policies & procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal/ communication skills in both Bangla & English.
  • Proficient with different digital professional platforms.
  • Skilled to develop creative content for training materials.
  • Ability to think analytically and conceptually in order to understand complex problems.
  • Willing to travel when necessary.
