Vacancy Announcement of Officer (Admin & Procurement)

 

Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) is the apex trade body for the development of the textile sector of the country. Established in 1983, BTMA is engaged in the continual improvement of the sector through skills enhancement, policy advocacy, assistance legislation and also assisting in introducing new technologies. Since 2015 BTMA has been receiving grants from the Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP), Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, and GoB with self-contribution for imparting skills development training through its project implementation unit (PIU). The objective of the training is to create a pool of skilled workforce to improve the performance and product of the industry and member factories that contribute to the development of the textile sector and the country as well.

The BTMA-SEIP is looking for an Officer (Admin & Procurement) under tranche-3 according to the following Terms of References (ToR):

The Officer (Admin & Procurement) will be solely responsible for providing required assistance to the overall Administration and Procurement Management of BTMA-SEIP is in line with the Business Plan and Financial Management Manual (FMM). The major tasks of the Officer (Admin & Procurement) will include the following:

  1. Serve as the key point of administrative contact and liaison with internal and external stakeholders;
  2. Provide direct administrative support to the project staff;
  3. Conduct and administer the day-to-day activities of the project;
  4. Facilitate logistics, resource management, procurement, and administration procedures and documentation;
  5. Maintain office equipment and inventory supplies, orders, and replacement of supplies under the project;
  6. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor;
  7. Assist Chief Coordinator and others on HR-related issues;
  8. Assist PIU to organize meetings, special functions, and social events as and when required;
  9. Keep records of office attendance;
  10. Manage official vehicles and transportation schedules;
  11. Assist in procurement of goods and services;
  12. Assist in maintaining inventory of goods procured under the project;
  13. Perform any other tasks assigned by the Chief Coordinator.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor in any discipline with 5 years of working experience in Admin and Logistics works.

Essential Skills:

  • Preference will be given to incumbents who have experience in related government-supported skills development programs;
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Bengali are required;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential;
  • Excellent typing skills in both English and Bengali are a must.
