Asst. Coordinator (Training, Monitoring & Assessment)

Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) is the apex trade body for the development of the textile sector of the country. Established in 1983, BTMA is engaged to continual improvement of the sector through skills enhancement, policy advocacy, assist legislation and also assisting to introducing new technologies. Since, 2015 BTMA has been receiving grants from the Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP), Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, GoB with self-contribution for imparting skills development training through its project implementation unit (PIU). The objective of the training is to create a pool of skilled work force to improve the performance and product of the industry and member factories that to contribute to the development in the textile sector and the country as well.

The BTMA-SEIP is looking for an Asst. Coordinator (Training, Monitoring & Assessment) under tranche-3 according to the following Terms of References (ToR).

The Asst. Coordinator (Training, Monitoring & Assessment) will be solely responsible for ensuring training, monitoring, assessment of BTMA-SEIP in line with the CBT & A system and Business Plan. The major’s tasks of the Asst. Coordinator (Training, Monitoring & Assessment) will include the following:

  1. Prepare training plan, design and develop training programs, organize training courses and ensure participation of trainees and monitor the quality of the training courses as per the Business Plan;
  2. Search for demand-based training opportunities for the trainees and provide necessary information and guidance for self-employment as well as job creation after the training course;
  3. Conduct needs assessment and identifies skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed during the training course;
  4. Design, prepare, revise training materials including training modules;
  5. Assess instructional effectiveness and summarize pre and post evaluation reports determining the impact of training on employee skills and how it affects KPI (Key Performance Indicators);
  6. Maintain updated curriculum database and training records;
  7. Take necessary measures for selecting the Training Service Providers (TSPs), expert trainers, training institutions, drafting TOR for the selected TSPs and trainers, and take necessary measures for assessment of the trainees by the external and qualified assessors;
  8. Assist in developing monitoring tools for effectively monitoring training activities during the implementation of the program;
  9. Monitor the training programs from selecting training participants, enrolment, certification and job placement and retention up to 3 months;
  10. Keep records of training courses and monitoring tools and prepare monitoring reports of all activities
  11. Perform any other tasks assigned by the coordinator-Training, Monitoring & Assessment and the Chief Coordinator.

Qualification& Experience:

  • Master in any discipline with at least 5 years working experience in training, monitoring and assessment.

Or

  • Bachelor degree with 8 years working experience in training, monitoring and assessment.

Essential Skills:

  • The candidate who has BSc in Textiles will be given preference.
  • Certified trainer/assessor up to level-IV from BTEB/NSDA will be given preference.
  • BTMA-SEIP will be given preference to the incumbent those who have experience in related government supported skills development program.
  • Excellent Communication skills both in English and Bengali.
  • Versed knowledge on Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, typing in English and Bengali.
