BRAC International (BI) is seeking application from competent, dynamic and self-motivated women candidates to fill the following position:

Project Associate, Local Emergency Preparedness and Response Project (LEPRP), Humanitarian Programme, BRAC International

The Project Associate will support the LEPRP project management team on knowledge management and documentation, appropriate administrative and budget monitoring and project capacity-building activities.  The position will coordinate with the country teams on project data/ information management, MIS, documentation, and overall record-keeping of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Management team with project planning and coordination with the country team.  Maintain the project work plan and compile the progress report against the work plan.  
  • Coordinate with the project teams in BI countries regarding project data/ information management, and maintain central MIS. Preserve different documents and information materials of the programme and assist in publishing project documents and knowledge products. 
  • Plan and execute the activities relevant to administration and budget in coordination and collaboration with finance & accounts, administration, and other support functions to ensure all administrative and compliance-related requirements.
  • Identify the areas for cost efficiency and ensure yearly budget preparation in collaboration with the accounts department. Ensure project accounts/budget-related approval.
  • Undertake analysis of monthly financial reports by taking into consideration of budget and expenditure, and share findings with the project management team.
  •  Assist the project research team with various studies and dissemination of research information.
  • Plan and organize meetings with the regular and special meetings and take meeting notes and arrange circulation. 

Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Educational Requirements:

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Social Science, Disaster Management or any other related discipline.

Required Competencies

  • Experienced in relevant field specially in Disaster management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and to develop networks and collaborations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks independently.
  • Excellent practical knowledge on MS Office package and software application.
  • Ability to understand new terminology and concepts easily.
  • Time management, Multitasking, Communication, Report Writing, Meeting notes taking.
  • Highly skilled about computer operating, MS office and Internet browsing.
  • Proficiency in Bangla and English language.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
