BRAC International (BI) is seeking application from competent, dynamic and self-motivated individuals to fill the following position:

Assistant General Manager, Learning & Development

The purpose of the Assistant General Manager (AGM), Learning & Development (L&D) role is to develop and implement capacity development interventions and create a learning culture within BI. AGM, L&D will report to the Chief People and Culture Office of BI , will lead the L&D team and work closely with the Country HR teams to help shape and implement the broader L&D interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Chief People and Culture Officer by developing and implementing high impact learning & development programmes in line with organisational needs and priorities;
  • Lead the L&D team in the development, design, delivery and evaluation of high impact learning interventions;
  • Establish a strong partnership with the leadership team to gain a strong understanding of current L&D issues and opportunities, as related to organizational needs and priorities;
  • Conduct organisational needs analysis and develop training plans to ensure that all employees have the required competencies to excel in their roles;
  • Review and develop training course materials and modules to ensure they are in line with operating processes, procedures and systems
  • Deliver training to the staff and master trainer and work with various stakeholders to coordinate and organise training sessions
  • Explore relevant/effective digital tools to create flexible and innovative learning programmes
  • Coordinate with global training institute and provide guidance to customize training module relevance to local need
  • Manage the staff training budget and effectively plan for the training & development initiative for the employees
  • Develop and facilitate induction programmes for the New Joiners across BI
    Others (Safeguarding):
  • Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Educational Requirements:

  • At least Bachelor Degree

Required Competencies

  • Skilled in conducting training needs analysis, module development and designing capacity development programmes
  • Professional, engaging with the gravitas to build strong working relationships and influence at all levels in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
  • Possess coaching, mentoring and feedback skills
  • Strong facilitation skills and mastering in PowerPoint presentation
  • Must be a strong team player and reflects a positive & assertive mindset, act as a change agent
  • Flexible to work in different time zones
  • Can comfortably work with people from different culture
  • Proficient in English communication

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of working experience in Training & Development function with 5 years in a managerial role.
